August 27th, 2025 - 11:26amI believe Totters yard are doing a custom ‘collector’ quite soon.but im not holding my breath for it to become a manuafactured figure/ figurine anytime soon. It would be interesting to see the Harrops limited version.

August 26th, 2025 - 3:49pmReally expensive things, whatever way you put it.
The only thing that would make me get these, would be the thought that they would be worth an awful lot more in the future as rare collectibles.

August 26th, 2025 - 5:48pmThey are a novelty for collectors, nothing more. There aren,t that many companies that make previously unreleased figures or figurines in limited edition. Especially for Doctor Who.

August 27th, 2025 - 3:09pmWith such a small number now being made, Worldwide aswell, I should imagine the prices will only go up in Future. (Definitely can’t see the Prices going Down in the Distant Future).
Gareth Pugh
August 27th, 2025 - 3:54pmThey are not cheap for sure, but bear in mind that the fact they are limited to only 750 units means that Master Replicas and SciFi Collector will be having to pay a much higher production price per unit made to the factory than Eaglemoss with their multi-thousand production runs – and they won’t have the negotiating leverage of a very large international company that Eaglemoss were. I’m sure SciFi will be making a good profit at their consumer prices and so they should, they are a business and put a lot of work into pulling this all together so it can happen. But the limited manufacturing run and their small business size will be a big factor in why the prices are what they are. I suspect we’re not being ripped off here / these will be so much more costly to make than in the Eaglemoss era.

August 27th, 2025 - 5:08pmWell Said Gareth Pugh. That just reminded of something I had heard years ago about the Star Wars 12 inch Figures from Sideshow Collectibles. I’m a Star wars Fan aswell as a Dr Who Fan and I’ve bought Star Wars Merchandise for as long as I can remember
I remember Years ago getting into these SideShow Figures when I First saw them in a Window of a Model Zone Shop at Meadowhall retail Park.
Back then any Figure Available at the Time only cost Between £40 To £50.
Fast Forward maybe 5 Years and the Price had shot up to £150 Per Figure, with no Noticeable reason (Quality Wise or Inflation) for the Price Hikes.
With being on the Internet a Few Years back then and Ive Always Frequented Fan Sites, I decided to look into why they had become so Expensive.
It Turns out in the Beginning there Production runs were anywhere near 10,000 Units per Figure, but after a few Short Years there Popularity had Dwindled (Even £50 Per Figure was Expensive back then) and Now the Production Runs were anywhere between 1,500 to 2,000 Units Per Figure.
SideShow had Two Choices, Either Discontinue the Line as it was no longer Profitable or Hike the Prices up to remain Profitable and keep the line Going.
In a way I’m glad the Line Continued. (To this Day they still make One or Two Figures a Year).
Even Though the Price is a Bitter Pill to Swallow.
The Price Per Figure Now though are Around £300, keeping inline with Hot Toys and Even Big Chief Dr Who Line, before they Went Bust.
So back to what you said about Production Runs and having a big Effect on Prices is very True.

August 27th, 2025 - 9:23pmTo everyone. I totally understand production costs and realise the situation now.
With a smaller number and less buyers, I can see why they are at that price. It doesn’t make it any easier to feel good about parting with that amount of cash though. I used to, very very occasionally buy a second figure of ones, I particularly liked- something I can’t/ couldn’t do now.
Also you wonder if there are enough people out there to sustain the line, with those prices?
I don’t really sell my Doctor Who collectibles, but I hope somehow that these limited edition figures might become very rare and this is an option to think about when buying these.
The DR.
August 27th, 2025 - 10:58pmJohn, I see your point and I too was thinking the Exact same thing, That 750 Figurines at these Prices are Obviously still viable for Sci-Fi Collector, M/R otherwise they wouldn’t be making them Still. But with them being so Expensive will just a Small amount as even 750 Sell? Say only 300 of these Regularly sell, this could mean the lines no longer viable and could End Soon.
Yes Big Price hikes sometimes have nothing at all to do with Quality or Inflation. Sometimes it’s as Simple as Production Run.
A Small Run means prices per Unit will be much higher, whereas Big Production Runs will Drastically reduce of the Cost per Unit.

August 28th, 2025 - 6:57amI think we can likely expect the release of figurines up to issues 241 and which may also include the later issue of the roboman which was a prototype and featured in neil corrys flying onto shelves book.
There has been much interest in the continuation, whether it can be judged a success by sales is, i should imagine, if they can continue production for issues 242 to 250 and even beyond that.

September 2nd, 2025 - 10:41amyip over priced £40 for single new sea devil or Axon monster, so i won’t be buying anymore, anybody that thinks old eaglemoss figures will be valuable in later years, think not, I would have continued with the range but not worth £40 no matter how limited, only ones buying them will be fans who buy anything with a dr who logo on it
The DR.
September 2nd, 2025 - 1:19pmJohn, I wasn’t saying Anything about Old Eaglemoss Figurines being Valuable in Future. They won’t be, has they were Mass Produced, plus originally they only Cost Around £6 or £7 with a Magazine Included.
Although these Limited Edition Master Replica Figurines may Gain in Value over the Years. But that’s Two different Things, you seem to be getting confused with.

August 23rd, 2025 - 1:09pmJust please – please release the Menoptera before it’s too late!
master
August 23rd, 2025 - 1:44pmWishful thinking i,m afraid. The Menoptera was not on that final up to 250 list or even considered as a special before Eaglemoss went into administration, unfortunately. Anything above 241 would be a treat as the ones up to that point were approved. There was also the prototype Roboman (249) which was also highlighted in Neil Corrys ‘flying onto shelves’ book.
So if there are a few more batches we can likely expect to see the Haemovore, Headless Monk, female timelord General, Vorus and even a Jacondan.
It is in the hands of MR whether we see some of my most wanted from 242-250: Virus, Foamasi, The shadow, Cryon, Vega Nexus, Tharil wargames Timelord and The Watcher.

August 21st, 2025 - 3:24pmHow come the numbers aren’t consecutive?

August 21st, 2025 - 7:47pmI don’t think Anyone knows, Even Sci-Fi Collector that have had these figurines commissioned from M/R.

August 21st, 2025 - 8:34pmIt’s all down to where a figurine was in terms of design and likeness approval when Eaglemoss folded. Hence the weird numbers.
Can’t see them doing all of them up to the planned 250 (the original end of the collection in single release form).

August 20th, 2025 - 8:12pmMonarch did not just have a green head. He had prominent ‘eyebrow’ ridges that gave him a frog/toadish look. They’ve not picked up on that at all.
Master
August 20th, 2025 - 9:39pmIf its repainted a darker shade of green which i will be doing at some point, could thicken it enough to create a ridge. You are right, that and the wrong colour for the costume. I knew there were things that were off but the initial excitement at seeing the figurine you sometimes tend to overlook this.
Master
August 20th, 2025 - 9:48pmIt irks me a little as i thought this was the i thought they couldnt get wrong. It does begger the question who chooses the colours before they are manuafactured or do they only have a limited number of colours? It would explain how something so simple as the axon is painted dark red rather a light orange.

August 20th, 2025 - 4:57pmLeandro’s pose is odd, I don’t recall it. Far too expensive honestly, its a joke.

August 25th, 2025 - 3:23amAnyone remember the Buddy Christ from Dogma? That and this figure could be cousins.

August 20th, 2025 - 4:03pmThe Flood looks like he’s trying to say “y’know what i mean, thought?” Lol, like a drunken pal trying to explain himself.

August 20th, 2025 - 5:46pmLOL!

August 20th, 2025 - 10:09amI’m not too sure on the likeness for Leandro. I actually thought he was a Tharil at first. The Flood looks good but I’m just not sure is suited to a figurine—Monarch though looks excellent. I may well get one of those.
Master
August 20th, 2025 - 11:07amActually the Monarchs costume is slightly inaccurate and should be more of a mid green where it is turquoise and should be gold around the middle not light green. The upper part is fine but the face should also be a darker tone of green.

August 20th, 2025 - 8:57pmMaster – You’re right about the colours being wrong, it’s extremely strange that they’ve done that. But I still like the figurine, and I’m just pleased that they’ve done him at all. Four to Doomsday merchandise—who’d have thought!
