Will we get issues 172 and 173 next week i wonder, if not with things being as they are, there will be a lot of rather large card cardboard boxes with back issues to attend to when things, whenever that might be, get back to some sort of normality?

It’s a least 3 months of lockdown and a further 3 or more for normal service’s to be back up and running. Expect delays.

Amazon are saying it will be an average of 4 day delivery delays on nonessential items. So all DVDs will be arriving late. People just have to be patient.

Are the doctor who collection blu Ray episodes Remasters or just upscales ???

Everything has been remastered to the best of their ability. Obviously it is mostly upscales as actual HD footage is impossible in most cases, but the audio has been improved to Blu Ray standards and the visuals have been cleaned up where possible.

It’s a pity the website is no longer functional! Luckily I had the foresight to download the complete set when it was up & running & I burned them to a disc. Stupidly I have no idea where I put it now? I’ll have a rummage around & if I find it I’ll send an email to Booboo & he can pass them onto you. Obviously no guarantees because I may not even find it..

Booboo, when are we due pictures of the B&M three figure packs? Cause I’m pretty sure that they’re out soon-April?

they will be announced by a video but i really wouldn’t bank any anything for some time, we don’t know how production in China has been effected, also having 1000’s of Doctor Who collectors descend on B&M touching every box looking for the best paint apps is not what’s needed right now and certainly would not be classed as an “essential” journey.

Best option as these products are fairly unique to B&M and if they are due in the next few weeks is to either hold them back for a few months, or make them available on-line provided a safe working environment can be available therefore saving 1000’s of “unnecessary” journeys.

You’re completely right,Booboo. It makes sense to hold them back in the current climate. Just wanted to know,so thanks for answering my question:^)

that’s fine, i would like to see them as much as anyone, maybe they could release some images showing what people can look forward to.

Anything to keep spirits up in the current climate, its going to get tough.

I kind of hope that the BBC will still announce future merchandise even if not put up for pre-order. Just to keep us all excited for things to come. And hopefully bring fans together.

Would love to see the next Steelbook cover and maybe a Season 20 one.

What do others want/hope to see during these quiet few months?

I’m hoping the target books aren’t delayed. I’d love to see the covers for those. And I’d love to see the Terrance dicks omnibus book announced as well. Fury of course. Hope to get a release date for that. Presuming it’s been completed of course! The current situation may have affected the animation schedule.

Be prepared for delays on nonessential items like DVD or bluray. A film I’ve ordered is out on the 13th April and its prime delivery date is the 18th April. As long as it arrives that’s all that matters. It’s not as if we’ll be able to just pop out and get it from a shop!

Just had a message from Amazon, in response to a query, that there will probably be delays in preorders. They said it was likely that DVDs would not arrive on release day due to the current situation. Totally understandable but people need to be prepared to be patient.

Would love to see tractator, melkur, eldrad, hieronymous, garm, ergon, borad, clockwork soldier from mind robber, skovox blitzer, foamasi, solonian mutt, mestor, peg doll, headless monk, regenerating weeping angels and other obscure villains as well as drashig, fendahl, macra and weeping angel statue of liberty specials. Another spinoff collection that would be a dream would be a regeneration series where we see each doctor in their previous incarnations outfit (where possible) unlikely but I won’t be upset if they done happen, I love the collection more than I can say already!!!

So what are everybody’s wants and predictions for the b&m range (if it still goes ahead) this year and/or a new figure range next year (personally would love a new sculpt of the cyber warriors as the body could be reused for cyber masters and the floating in space dead cyber warriors with the 12th legion heads

I really would like a Master and some new Cybermen. Definitely a Cyber Time lord.

In terms of B&M, I think with the Doctor/Dalek sets being so popular, some nice tweaks/repaints and re-releases of classic Daleks would be great. Even if they were single carded. Wouldnt have to be packed with a Doctor (But I think this combination works well in terms of impulse buyers)
Let’s face it, even if one figure was a strait re release and the other figure was a tweak/repaint, it’s still gonna sell as this is majorly a collector market now.

      March 22nd, 2020 - 7:58pm

What I really want, is for them to a Genesis set, with a relrelease Davros, Dalek and 4th Doc with those “re-mixed” figures of classic Sarah Jane and Nyder. But that will never happen.

    • dazzleshell

      March 22nd, 2020 - 8:25pm

I’m surprised they haven’t stuck the 4th Doctors head on the Timelord body yet to be included in a Gallifrey Set.

New head on Rassilons body to be Hell Bent version.

Claras head on Doctors Wife body and repainted to be The Snowman Clara.

I hope they do a doctor dalek set with classic dalek rereleases I hope big hope they do a super weapon dalek re release

    • The Outcast

      March 23rd, 2020 - 11:56am

In terms of B&M sets, we already know one practically: Yaz, Ryan and probably the 13th Docto with pink shirt.

As for what I’d like to see for the others, well.

      Three pack – 1st Doctor:
1st Doctor (and Unearthly Child), Ian (new head on suit body) and Barbara (No idea what they could use a base)

Three pack – The Villains of Big Finish:
The Master [Alex Macqueen] (new head on existing suit body), the Eleven (new head on Toby Zed body) and Cyberleader [Sword of Orion] (repaint of Invasion Cyberman)

And that’s it for the main three packs. The only other set I’d like would be a Dalek set, a re-release of Dalek Collectors set #1 would be awesome!

      —————-

As for new figures for a wave next year, well.
13th Doctor [Spy costume from Spyfall]
      The Master [normal costume]
      Ruth Doctor
      Lone Cyberman
      Cyberman [2020]
Cybermaster (easy to do considering it’s just a new head an cloak on the 2020 body)

Not anymore. Series just isn’t as popular as it was to guarantee sales of such a big set.

For me personally I am sick of Doctors. Too many of them now in sets for me. (Tardis, Dalek and 3 packs). I understand why but they are just mainly repaints and boring.

I want jacketless Doctors as at least it is something different. Different facial sculps would be good too.

No, it’s actually the plush that was shown at the Toy Fair a few years back. Several were shown but never went to production. They had a Strax, Judoon & Clara & another couple which I really wanted. I collected all the plushes that were available back then & the line was eventually dropped. I really, really wanted that Strax in his Butler get-up!

Amazon has removed all preorders. Every thing not out now is listed as unavailable to order. Be prepared for them to just cancel any orders you have as they’ve done that to me before, then the items come back on at a higher price. I’ll be furious if they cancel my orders as I have several good bargains that I’ll lose.

I think that is more due to the current medical situation than anything else. I would expect delays on anything through any company from now on, until the circumstances change? Presumably, being lack of staff at any facility that sell’s online or any staff for any delivery services. It’s called a Pandemic for a reason…

amazo have stopped taking any stock direct into theor warehouse except essentails like medecine, food, and stuff to keep the country working so it gets booked and sent out quicker. theonly way to buy “new” release items is through independant sellers on amazon
