      Hopefully next issue although I did wonder if they might hold it over a couple of months ’til July rolls around and loosely tie it in with the timing of the start of this year’s Build-a-Figure Vortex line?

    Can anyone tell me if part two of Al’s chat is in this issue? Always love stuff about the figures. Not got my copy yet as it usually takes an extra week reaching me.

    And remember everyone to avoid what seems like a common DMP pitfall: the last episode is titled “Destruction of Time”. Page 31 here does that pet peeve of mine and refer to it as “The Destruction of Time” (which sounds strangely naff compared to plain “Destruction of Time”).

    The previous story ended with a “Horse of Destruction”… whatever next? “Dodo of Destruction”? 🙂

    In all seriousness this is a fantastic issue of DWM. The DMP coverage is gloriously celebratory, insightful and joyous in the way of something really good that sadly seems to be lacking in life overall right now. It will truly mark as a little memento of this nice moment in fandom.

    Brilliant issue – the focus on DMP and FiF! is right up night ME focussed street. Sue Malden makes a *very* cutting remark about Phil Morris! And such a gorgeous cover with equally stunning artwork inside.

    This one will act as a nice little commemoration of this point in time where we got 2 more DMP epsiodes back. To paraphrase Toby Hadoke, it’s nice that something seems to have positively united fandom. And renewed hope is here as we now in an unprecedented situation: we know there are more missing episodes out there and they’ll be back sooner rather than later.

    All I will say is, we will miss it if at any point it is ever gone. I had issue 1 bought for me when I was 5 and DWM has been a constant in my life ever since.Apart from the occasional wobble (the current editor has calmed down since his early Zoolander days) it is generally pretty good. If cost truly is an issue perhaps the comic strip should be culled, although I accept for some that this may be heresy. The current issue is excellent btw.

      I remember buying issue 50 (about the time Logopolis was on tv)……and the following year, when they were reviewing Peter Davison’s first series….
      I have waxed and waned over the years (more waned, if I’m being honest) but I too would certainly miss it if it weren’t there….!

    I may get this as I am curious to find out any info on the recovery of the two episodes of The Daleks’ Master Plan. I’m in the USA and WhoNA usually imports a few copies of this magazine as they’re released.

    I LOVE that cover? And what’s on the inside isn’t bad either. Including a great piece of Dalek art from Ant Lamb. Practically HALF the issue devoted to the recent “Daleks’ Master Plan” episodes recovery.

      Oh and last months issues was £10.99 not £12.99

      I think everybody is noticing the price increase. Again another DWM and all people want to do is moan about. If you want to save some money subscribe to it. At the end of the day if you don’t want to pay you could just stop looking at it and then we don’t have to listen to the constant moaning about the price. As said above everything is going up, I’ve just paid £60 for a tank of petrol which a couple of months ago was £45. Add to that the cost of food, gas, electricity, water which have all increased. It is sadly the world we are being forced to live at the present time. Hopefully things will improve. As it is to get away from the real world we have an excellent issue of DWM to enjoy and one I think is well worth the cover price. I hope eveyone else who has the magazine can enjoy it as well.

      It should not be going up by 12.5%.

      If regular issues are going to be sealed it’ll lose any casual buyers. From the content it sounds like it’s coming to an end, unfortunately.

    • Missyrules

      April 30th, 2026 - 4:12pm

      12.5% is correct t. My partner buys a weekly magazine which has increased by 15p a week which is 12.5%. I keep saying it’s not the magazines choice it’s economics. As Amy says above everything is going up. By the way why does the contents indicate the magazine is going to close? As MDS says if you don’t want to buy it don’t but please can people stop doomposting! I don’t know, maybe booboo could try posting a message saying please be aware that all merchandise is going up due to external forces!

      @amypondfan

      It is Panini who else do you think puts their price up of their magazine.

      Its all due to not selling enough copies so they have to put price up

    • Missyrules

      April 30th, 2026 - 7:47pm

      Printing costs have risen massively it’s not just panini. All magazines have to increase prices. If you are so against the magazine just stop buying it. We keep saying this, panini have to respond to the world around them and the simple fact is everything is affected by the wars around the world. The cost of manufacturing, printing, shipping, road transport, its all risen dramatically in the last few months. If you are determined to complain about the magazine extend that to everything you buy.

      May 1st, 2026 - 7:34pm

      @missyrules

      if they sold more they could reduce costs.

      No complaint with the magazine its basic sales that have been impacted since 2017 onwards

      Look at the sales figures

    • Amypondfan

      May 8th, 2026 - 7:02pm

      The doctor who magazine isn’t alone in sales figure drops, pretty much all print magazine titles have suffered a drop in sales. The basic sad fact is younger people don’t buy physical items.

      None of you Dr Who fans live near the Shaftesbury Avenue Forbidden Planet, I’m guessing….?
      Perhaps I popped into an alternative dimension where Dr Who magazines are sealed up….!

    • War Chief.

      May 2nd, 2026 - 11:44am

      PS – there’s no fool like an old fool….I went back there, and they had the sealed up Peter Davison one….
      Humble pie all round…..I think I got a knock on the head watching Invasion of the Dinosaurs…(in 1974….!)
      On the plus side, they were giving away free comics…
