Character Options has unveiled details of a brand new Limited Edition Doctor Who 5.5” scale action figure. Images of the Missy figure, first in a new range of scale Doctor Who Collector Series toys were revealed by Alasdair Dewar, Product Development Director, today via video on the Character Options’ website.

Missy, played by Michelle Gomez, is a villainous Time Lady who recently revealed herself as the Doctor’s arch enemy, the Master! Missy has been firmly established as a new fan favourite character, and as a collector’s figure, she is truly a must have.

The Missy Figure will be available in two variants; a purple outfitted version with hat from the series finale episodes; and alternatively in her ‘Heaven’ outfit, hatless with black jacket and manic grin.

The Missy figures each have 18 points of articulation and are highly detailed and decorated. Each figure head can also be swapped so that both heads can be incorporated with either outfit, and they both come with accessories.

The bespoke UK Collector Series packs are perfect for display and for the first time are re-sealable, so that the figures can be enjoyed in or out of packaging without losing their collectability.

Only 4,000 units of each of the two figures are available in exclusive UK packaging at www.character-online.co.uk for a price of £19.99 each (excluding P&P). Delivery will be made to customers by early November.

Al Dewar states: “Character Options has been designing, manufacturing and marketing Doctor Who toys since 2005, so as true fans of the brand we wanted to tell collectors the latest news in the most direct, if informal way, which is why I made the announcement in person on the website.

Missy is the first of a potential new line of highly sought after 5.5-inch action figures so we expect interest to be high and we are all very excited to share this with fans and collectors alike.

“Working with Michelle Gomez was great fun and she was the best subject we ever 3D scanned, patiently holding her facial expressions including her trademark Missy “sneer” for long periods of time. We know that many collectors have been eagerly waiting to see if Missy would at some point be included within our figure range, and at last, here she is.”

Kind of wish the more neutral expression one(purple) had an alternate head without the hat

I’d like to see some more classic stuff. I often dream of a Dalek Master Plan Set with the entire galactic council in it. Complete with battle map table. An Emperor Dalek from Evil of the Daleks. A Kroton. Sarah Jane Smith with a giant spider on her back. Curse of Peladon Set with Alpha Centauri, Arcturus, and Izlyr. A Second Doctor with his Stove Pipe hat and also one with his fur coat on. And an Ogron and a Draconian. That’s my wish list. Well part of it. There’s always more.

The face sculpt and expression is way better on the purple and she wears that outfit more often.

Out of interest, I’d like to know what you think the next Doctor Who figures that should be made are in your opinion

I think of they’re going to do another 2 limited figures like Missy, I’d love too see a pair of Osgoods, or a couple of Ashildrs. I’d be very surprised if they don’t make a 2013 Cyberman and Zygon as demand for them is high, and we know they have their sculpts! The figure I’d personally really like to see would be a Magicians Apprentice 12th Doctor with guitar, aged/dirty Sonic Screwdriver, Dalek Gun and swappable head with Sunglasses!

I would love to see the Osgoods with long scarf and the 12th doctor with guitar as well as an imperial dalek guard with sensor arm.

Being realistic I made this: 2 exclusive figures: 12 dr in TMA outfit with guitar and closed glasses (£20) and HB outfit with same excessories. Then for regular figures (£15) we could have HS/HB doctor, And a hoodie variant, the new companion and a crappy varient of her, a zygon and a cyberman. This is more realistic they yours as they have moods for 2 of these and would only have to make 2 new ones (hoodie doctor and new companion). Bam 2016 figures made

12th Doctor Magician’s Apprentice/Witches Familar with 2 head. One normal and one with sonic sunglasses. He should also come with a guitar.

      Clara from Face The Raven

      Ashilder from Hell Bent

      2013 Cybermen

      Zygon

      ADRIC (Earthshock)…
Also, Anthony Ainley Master in his Logopolis clothing.

    • JinzoCrash

      June 14th, 2021 - 8:38pm

Like no joke… I bought a “natural” Ood for his boots, the dumb pig guy from the terrible Daleks in Manhattan episode, some Centurion figure, and even the short-haired Martha Jones to use as a face… JUST to try and sculpt an Adric figure. This is crazy.
…Considering buying an Eaglemoss Anthony Ainley so i can recast the head in a larger size, then construct a Logopolis body for him. Insanity. But it must be done if companies aren’t.

I’ve just ordered the purple varied, but I wish they had an Osgood figure. She would make a great addition to the collection, do any of you think Character are working on one?

It probably wouldn’t have much in the way of articulation but as long as it it would be well detailed it would be great

I suppose an eagle moss figurine could be made, they tend to do that type of thing

      Could have:

      Heaven Sent 3.75″ Timezone Playset:

12th Doctor in Red Velvet coat

      The Veil (EXCLUSIVE)

Playset of the castle with different rooms

      December 2nd, 2015 - 6:11pm

I agree with prototype dalek, an Eaglemoss figurine of the Veil would look good, and wouldn’t be too unlikely either as there aren’t a wealth of new Series 9 Monsters in comparison to past years.

      December 3rd, 2015 - 9:21am

At the moment they do seem to be focusing a lot on doctor variants then monsters but I am sure character or Eaglemoss will make some of the more tricky monsters to make like the veil, I suppose it goes down to cost to produce.
