I really like the new console room, but Tennant’s and Eccleston’s console room was my favorite!

I highly enjoyed the episode! Some of the revamps were a nice touch!

The TARDIS looks a bit claustrophobic, though… I can’t see any new corridors!

I’m sorry to those how think that this was the a good christmas special, but I think that it was the worst. I think that the new TARDIS is slightly better than the last version. In my opinion, the 9th/10th doctor TARDIS is the best version of the TARDIS. But that’s a very biased view as I was it was the first TARDIS I saw. The titles where just about ok. I prefer the titles used for the first 5 episodes of series 7. My favourite titles are the series 4 titles.

Although I disagree with your opinion, you don’t have to say sorry. It’s just your preference, so no one should be offended. πŸ™‚

    THAT EPISODE WAZ BRILLIANT!! πŸ˜€
I liked the change of plot in this episode, The Doctor didn’t really want to save the world. New TARDIS (old one was better) was cool, but all machinical and cliche sci-fi. I guess it does look pretty, and is perfect for mirroring the 60s console, for the 50th Anniversary. And who is Clara Oswin? actually more importantly Doctor Who?

Absolutely loved this episode and the new title sequence was even better than I was expecting.

Such an improvement, a return to the more dynamic and creepy nature of the classic series titles ❗

The new Tardis room is alot less cosy but it’s allright, I guess. The show itself is on much better form since the last christmas special πŸ™‚

The new TARDIS interior reminds me of a 1980’s disco rink! :p

The title sequence was a little cheesy however I did like the fact Matt Smith’s face was included in it! I liked the theme tune – glad they havent changed it too much. Reminds me of the Series 4 theme tune

It was head and feet above the series 4 theme tune, much creepier and much more better.

Although I loved the fact his face was in it, that was probably the only cheesy part of the titles. πŸ™‚

Probably because the doctor wanted a fresh start after Amy and Rory were sent back in time. Also they moved studio and it is the 50th anniversary year so it fitted in quite nicely for the producers and Steven Moffat

I can’t wait for they playset either and when its released I hop it has a motorised spining roof the circle bits that spun round with the gallifreyen symbols and also I hope they release another flight control tardis with the new interior and this time one that lights up because the last tardis only opened it doors light flashing and sound effects fingers crossed : )

I really like how they are making things more like the classic series but still keeping modern.
I will give my verdict to the episode once I’ve actually watched it though.

      December 25th, 2012 - 11:34pm

The snowmen with the icicle razor sharp teeth were suitably scary for a new generation to remember. The titles and console were a pastiche of old blending with the modern which i mostly liked. The spinning roundabout light effect abovethe tardis was a niggle and not as many roundels as i,d have liked, other than that, two thumbs up.The best seasonal since ‘A christmas carol’.

I loved the episode; it was easily the best Christmas special. I’ll certainly be watching it again tomorrow night. The TARDIS looks great in action, though I would like to see more of it. The titles are wonderfully cheesy, though I think the theme could have done with more updating.

If you want to see more, your in for a treat. In series 7 p2 the BBC have said that there is an episode called “journey to the center of the tardis” were you see a lot more of the inside πŸ˜€

i thaught the new console room was actualy a bit gloomy i hope they lighten it up a little for the 50th, but i did like the top bits of the console spinning around. i wonder if they will make a playset from it but not sure if i would buy it.
