Which 3.75 Inch figures do people recommend – the only one I already have is the 12th Doctor in his own costume.

I’m thinking of getting the Dalek Patrol Ship but is it worth it for the price?

Check out the review from Batmanmarch on youtube. Its convinced me and its only £15 in argos at the moment. I would say to get the ice warrior, clara, amy, tweed 11th zygon and cybermen. These are the best ones in my opinion

My recommendations based on the stories: Revisitations box set 1 and 3, Enemy of the World, Web of fear, Battlefield, Horror of Fang Rock, Earthshock.

The Keys of Marinus, The Mind Robber, Terror of the Autons, Planet of the Spiders, The Sontaran Experiment, The Invisible Enemy, Full Circle, Kinda, Timelash, Delta and the Bannermen.

The Tenth Planet, Carnival of Monsters, The Twin Dilemma and Silver Nemesis are also good ones.

    Tiger, tiger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
    What immortal hand or eye
    Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand and what dread feet?

I grew up in Hungary and we never learned about Blake in school but I know this poem from a Spider-man issue which I read when I was like 8 or 9 :D (it is in the very famous Kraven’s last hunt story, also it is a very famous poem by it’s own right).

how long would it take to watch all episodes series 1 to 8

    • Posted by: Doctor Rules

      October 24th, 2014 - 6:03pm

lets think 8 series , 13 episodes each. 13×45= 585. Christmas and anniversary specials+7×60- 420 minutes. day of the Doctor is 1hr30 minutes, Eleventh Hour and Deep Breath 1 hr 20 minutes. Overall, 1260 minutes or 21 hours. A full day of Doctor. This would be something ideal for you to do on the 51st anniversary, astronaut of death! Start at dinner time and end at 8am next day. It would be an excellent way to spend the 51st anniversary of Doctor Who, or even better do it 30 march 2015 on the tenth anniversary of Nu-Who.

      There’s only 12 episodes Series 8 though.

    • Posted by: Living Shadow

      October 24th, 2014 - 7:25pm

I re-added! 7×13 (series 1-7) =91+12 (series 8) =103 minutes. 12 specials, (including S8 Christmas) 60 mins each which means 12×60= 720 minutes. 75×2 (Day of the Doctor, Deep Breath, End Of time) =225 minutes.
      Minisodes: Pond life (5) Night and Doctor (15) Night of Doctor (7) Born again (6) Death is only Answer (4) Nation (3) Last day (4) Good Gold (3) Clara Tardis (2) Rain Gods (2) Meanwhile (4) Time Crash (8) Detective (4) Time/Space (8) Prequels (12) Inforarium (2) Prom (3) HS,SS (4) = 93 minutes 103+720+225+93= 1141 minutes = 19 hours!

      October 24th, 2014 - 7:52pm

      13 x 45 = 585 minutes per series (S1-S7)
      585 x 7 = 4095 minutes

      11 x 45 = 495 minutes (S8, minus DB)
      1 x 80 = 80 minutes (Deep Breath)
      495 + 80 = 575

      4095 + 575 = 4670 (S1-S8, minus specials)

      4 x 60 = 240 minutes (2009 specials)
7 x 60 = 420 minutes (Christmas specials, minus End of Time Part One (Which I included in the 2009 specials)
      2 x 75 = 150 minutes (Day of the Doctor + Deep Breath)
      240 + 420 + 150 = 810 minutes of specials.

810 + 4670 = 5480 minutes, or 91 and a half hours, or 4 days – with continuous watching. No sleep. No gaps.

    • Posted by: Sam Richard Bentley

      October 24th, 2014 - 7:56pm

      Cont.

If we were to take in hours of sleep/gaps between episodes – let’s say 12 hours a day – so that’s:

      4 x 12 = 48 hours of rest.
So, in actuality you would be able to watch them all in… approximately 8, or 9, days, depending on your sleeping patterns, and gaps between episodes.

That was all rounded numbers as well. All approx. numbers. But, yes, it would take about 8 – 9 days for you to watch them all.

Knew that C in GCSE Maths would come in handy one day…

    • Posted by: Sam Richard Bentley

      October 24th, 2014 - 8:00pm

Wait, I counted Deep Breath twice! Oops! Take 75 minutes off the total minutes = 5405. Which still means it could take up to 9 days to watch them all in one go.

Okay not long til the end of series 8, and here’s how I think it’s going to end. I think Dark Water will be a return to a Victorian London and the Paternoster gang have discovered traces of all recent deaths have went to the Nethersphere. I think Dark Water is going to be a cyberman invasion created by Missy so the Doctor and Clara can get killed and sent to heaven. In Death in heaven, I think it’s focusing on missy and we’re going to discover truth about Danny Pink, he died in battle and he made a deal with Missy to be returned back to life.

    • Posted by: Trenzalore

      October 24th, 2014 - 4:08pm

The whole making a deal sounds incredibly similar to the Trickster if it is that I imagine a fair few fans quite disappointed (even though its a great theory  )

    • Posted by: Living Shadow

      October 24th, 2014 - 6:14pm

Yeah, that’s a lot like “the wedding of Sarah Jane” but I loved that episode so it wouldn’t matter, but I’d be kinda disappointed as I’d love to see the Trickster make a return in Doc Who, rather than Missy making the deal
