Who is your worst and favourite doctor actors

Colin Baker seems like a nice guy, and Peter Capaldi treated fans with much respect when I met him last week!

For worst, Patrick Troughton was seen mocking Colin Baker on many occasions wasn’t he? And Christopher Eccleston doesn’t speak much to fans anymore.

tom baker is amazing I’ve met him two times! (two times in my high street (battle) and one time at the strand last month!

worst Christopher Eccleston who never goes to a convention! I’ve only met tom

Best: sysleveter McCoy he is very funny and matt smith is very nice to the fans

Worst: Chris he dose not seem to like being the Dr and he dose not talk about it, although he is my best classic Dr but tom baker he seems to think he is the best Dr and he did not return to the 5 doctors

    • Posted by: Trenzalore

      April 20th, 2014 - 6:55pm

I think Christopher is more of a serious actor (which is in no way a bad thing) therefore he isn’t very involved in doctor who things and he may still be worried about being typecast.
And I think Tom didn’t go back to do the 5 doctors because it was quite soon after he left but I agree he was very argumentative and opinionated I guess when he was the doctor but I don’t think he’s so bad now.

      I love tom!

      April 20th, 2014 - 7:10pm

Best. Matt smith, Sylvester Mc coy.

Worst. Tom baker for not doing the five doctors. and Chris. but he has his reasons.

    • Posted by: Pigbin Josh

      April 20th, 2014 - 7:13pm

Why is he a bad actor just because he didn’t want to be in an episode (which he later regretted doing)?

    • Posted by: MrWho63

      April 20th, 2014 - 7:14pm

Guys, Tom Baker did not return because he thought it was too soon after he had left and Chris admitted why he never really talks of it. Everybody can have their opinions but those are the facts.

    • Posted by: MrWho63

      April 20th, 2014 - 7:15pm

And Pigbin Josh and Trenzalore, I totally agree.

    • Posted by: Callumeales

      April 20th, 2014 - 7:16pm

That was what I was getting at Chris had his reasons. Tom has never been able to shake off the image of the doctor on his career.

    • Posted by: MrWho63

      April 20th, 2014 - 7:21pm

Callumeales I agree with what you are saying but I think really Tom was concerned he would be playing The Doctor again when in his opinion it was now Peter’s turn. He always loves Doctor Who so, in my opinion, is not trying to shake it off. And as Patrick Troughton was mocking Colin Baker, well Pat was very nice and was friends with Colin so it would have been no more than a joke.

    • Posted by: Callumeales

      April 20th, 2014 - 7:33pm

I agree. At least he came back for the 50th.
Pat was always the joker. He would never say anything to cause arguments. he was a fantastic man. my favourite dr by far.

Christopher Eccelston leaving the role had nothing to do with typecasting or anything to do with the role itself. It was all to do with BBC politics, he wasn’t happy with what was going on, tried to stand up against some horrible things going on and left because the BBC wouldn’t accept his ultimatum.

Apparently there will be a 5inch figure, maybe even a twin pack if we’re lucky! It probably best to assume it will be Classic, though who knows what they might come up with?

If you live in the UK, have you tried looking in your nearest Forbidden Planet ?.

I’m not sure if they do it anymore, cos I’ve just taken a look on their website for you, and the only products they have regard the Chase Dalek is the DVD of the story itself and an action figure collector’s set of 2 Chase Daleks with a Mechanoid for £29.99, but no mention of the one your asking about.

Sorry I could not be anymore help to you then that :)

How awesome would it be if poster makers ‘Pyramid Posters’ made the painting ‘Gallifrey Falls No More’ as an actual poster ???? !!!! :D

I’d buy it !!, plus you could have it framed so you’d feel like you had the actual painting itself from ‘The Day of the Doctor’ :D

Yeah I’ve seen that site, it was made by the BBC itself. They even included a disclaimer for anyone who thought it was FOR REAL :D

The end of the disclaimer reads -

This is a fictional website created for the new series of Doctor Who by’s official Doctor Who webteam. We apologise for any inconvenience caused if you thought this was a real website. If you would like to learn more about Doctor Who please click here.

Did anybody else get a free binder with the figurine collection with the latest delivery? I opted for no binders.

I got one included in the box with the dalek and judoon which both look great.

Why did they change it to 3.75 inch figures, because, it would be brilliant if they made a series 8 series of figures in 5 inch.

    • Posted by: booboo

      April 19th, 2014 - 8:55pm

big shops didn’t want them, and they do want the 3.75″ figures – for now

Just bought some great things from who Blackpool including the official guide to the 2013 series magazine and some great figures.
Then I got my delivery of all the wave 2 3.75″ figures, opened the first one (eleventh doctor in tweed) and found the arms (elbow to hand) had been put the wrong way meaning the arms bend backwards. Very disappointed. The others all seem okay though.
Also just got my eaglemoss delivery and the Dalek looks amazing! Excellent detail!

The DWM 2013 magazine is great, but a very long and tiring read! It goes through all the filming and press releases and reviews and draft scripts for EVERY episode-and I’ve only just started! Having said that, there is some good bonus material

    • Posted by: Trenzalore

      April 19th, 2014 - 11:12pm

I’ve kind of skim read it. It does sound very interesting but like you say, a little tiring.

      April 20th, 2014 - 9:42am

and it only went up to the “name of the doctor”, disappointed it didn’t have “day of the doctor” and “time of the doctor”. probably means a separate mag for them, so another £6.99 to be paid out.

    • Posted by: Trenzalore

      April 20th, 2014 - 11:49am

Yeah that’s exactly what I thought. Although I guess it would have made it double the size

I think it’s because this is the Autumn Special (because it’s always for the next month with the magazines e.g. March’s edition is published in February) and the next special will be in Autumn (for Spring next year) covering the ’2013 specials’ (Day/Time) because Series 8 won’t have aired yet, if you get what I mean…

    • Posted by: Trenzalore

      April 20th, 2014 - 2:24pm

£6.99 is the price. (although I imagine Who Blackpool pushed it up a little, their prices are a little bit silly in some cases, the 3.75″ figures are £9.99)
And I can’t be bothered sending it back, too much hassle. I’m not really going to play with it so it should be okay anyway
