The Eternity Clock Twitter Account just tweeted that there will be a limited retail PS3 release of the game and they revealed the box art for it too. I want to know about the PC release the most, since i dont have a PS3 or PSVita.

    • booboo

      April 18th, 2012 - 2:24pm

the box art states only on playstation so who know now

    • SpiderDalek94

      April 18th, 2012 - 2:28pm

Well there is going to be a PC release. They said it goes in this order: PS3 then PSVita shortly afterwards and then PC shortly after that. though ‘shortly afterwards’ could mean another whole month. But im sure the long wait will be worth it in the end. 🙂

Official Twitter account for Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock due for release globally on PS3 on 23rd May and 13th June on PS Vita. PC to follow shortly after.

£12 or $15, it’s a digital download on PSN, not a full retail game.

    • Mels

      April 8th, 2012 - 8:58am

It’s slightly longer than the average download game, but I’d be highly suprised if it was more than £20.

SFX have done an interview with Eternity Clock’s executive producer. You can read it here: http://www.sfx.co.uk/2012/03/26/doctor-who-the-eternity-clock-videogame-preview/

A couple of things important for us:

The PS3 version comes out FIRST. the PS Vita version comes out “a short while afterwards”.

This is planned as the first game of a three part series.

There are only 3 versions to be released atm. Playstation 3, and Playstation Vita (both downloaded from the Playstation Store). And the PC version which will follow ‘soon after’, the ps3/vita release, and will also be download only for now.
We don’t know where (which store/site etc) the PC version will be sold at yet.

will there be a demo? supermassive games released a demo of Start The Party Save The World which was just a game full with minigames.this- a real console game- deserves a demo for such a great hype. this game may just be a 2d platformer, but it looks like an awesome one.

Don’t worry, it’s for the best, they need to finnish the game and make sure there are not any bugs.

I think it’s better they have pushed the release date back rather than release the game and have it be unsatisfactory. Not that I will be affected, it’s not coming out on Xbox. 😛

      March 21st, 2012 - 4:14pm

good, gives ps3 a better advantage in the console war.

      March 29th, 2012 - 10:31am

It will need it, the PS3 is a piece of shiny waste of money.

Glad I was advised not to get one, and got a 360 instead, 360 has more versions and more games available and you can play old Xbox games on it, it’s overall much better value, even if you ahve to purchase LIVE seperate with them, it’s the one we like the most. 😛

  • Mels

    March 20th, 2012 - 3:20pm

I’m actually happy that they’re taking the time time to polish the game properly, rather than just rushing out something that’s still buggy (which seems to happen with a lot of releases these days).

I agree. The last (really it was!) adventure game, The Gunpowder Plot, was released far too early. There were terrible glitches in it. You could easily get caught in the world’s geometry, sometimes the characters would just not move and, sometimes, the characters wouldn’t even appear on screen.
Also, it’s great to have Doctor Who back in April (even if it is just a game!)! 😀
