Infrared Battle, RC Dalek Ironside
Professor Edwin Bracewell was an inventor working for the British Army during the second World War. He had a brilliant mind, and ideas such as “hypersonic flight” and “gravity bubbles” seemed to come to him from nowhere. One particular concept was the “Ironsides”; robots designed to be the perfect warrior, equipped with a ray gun and manipulator arm, and pressed into service as Britain’s latest weapon. However, Ironsides were really the last remnants of the Daleks, who had fallen back through time. Professor Bracewell was in fact their android creation, part of a complex trap to lure the Doctor back to where they were hiding, so he would unwittingly allow the Dalek race to be reborn…
The ironside Remote Dalek appears to be compatible with previous battle pack releases which were used here. As the new Daleks are not available yet its unclear if the same applies to them, the Standard relese Red Drone is included in the video for illustration purposes.
One thing is clear, you will be able to have great fun chasing Daleks around the room trying to exterminate each other!

This fully functional radio controlled Dalek Ironside has full 360 degree movement control, a built in infrared combat system which allows you to use two Daleks to battle against each other, flashing lights and speech*. Features also include a poseable gun and arm. Infrared battle with two Daleks requires two Daleks of different control frequencies (27Mhz & 40Mhz). One supplied. Requires 6 x AAA batteries.

* Full speech and flashing lights are only activated when in combat mode with another Dalek.
The Dalek Ironside is now in stock at Character Online

Im gonna buy RC drone and RC strategist but do they still speak on their own anyway?
Posted by: nesbitt412thdoctor July 27th, 2010
Would u rather have the remote control one or the normal figure?
Posted by: booboo July 27th, 2010
yes, they only flash when in battle with another Dalek, the head does move on the remote (but i haven’t tried to rotate it ) its much stiffer than the ordinary ones.
Posted by: nesbitt412thdoctor July 27th, 2010
and does the head move
Posted by: nesbitt412thdoctor July 27th, 2010
do u mean the headlights dont flash?
Posted by: booboo July 27th, 2010
It looks identical apart from the receiver between the gun and plunger which doesn’t look to bad to be honest.I have a Red ordinary Drone and a Blue battle Dalek here and they great side by side it basically double the price but you will have a remote control Dalek as well however the lights don’t flash unless you are in battle with another Dalek

I cant find the dalek drone anywhere , so would it actual make much of a difference if i bought the 5 inch radio controlled dalek drone? What are the differences?
Posted by: who crazy! July 25th, 2010
It would be a really cool present! If you want one buy them off character online!
Posted by: Ian July 21st, 2010
Are they totally in scale with the 5″ range? I would love to buy the Drone and Strategist battle toys to go alongside the upcoming Scientist Dalek figure that’s coming out, but only if they are all the same size…
Posted by: Dalek Sec July 17th, 2010
Then i probably get the Ironside figure! Also If character options is reading this a good idea would be a white, yellow, blue, red and orange progenitor Dalek gift set with 2 of the Daleks RC! Another good idea would be a Victory of the Daleks gift set with a Red Drone, a Ironside, Bracewell, And either Amy ,the Doctor or a Eternal Dalek!

This is just for the ironside Dalek
Posted by: Gray Dalek #6 (Internet Commentor) June 9th, 2010
Aw man! Why’d they have to pick an Ironside and a Strategist? If it were Drone vs. Strategist, I might go for Strategist because of the Desktop Patrolling Dalek. But now? I can’t pick! I hope you can get them in all 5 colors. I want a Scientist in Orange!
I’m a bit new to Doctor Who Toys, does anyone know the Price?
Posted by: booboo June 9th, 2010

Posted by: Barry Rix June 9th, 2010
I love the Ironside Dalek, a must have, but no way will I be buying the silly ‘Telly Tubby’ ones.
I cannot even consider them as Daleks, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THEM.
