February 17th, 2016 - 7:02pmI got the Third and Eighth Doctor’s Sonic Screwdrivers in this new packaging from John Lewis in the Trafford Centre on Monday.

November 27th, 2014 - 9:45pmThese still look really cheap and horrible though, especially that 11th/12th Doctor sonic screwdriver.
And to those who are asking, no, there is no button on the slider. It’s just a screwhole.

November 27th, 2014 - 9:46pmWhen I said there is no button on the slider, I was talking about the 9th Doctor sonic screwdriver.

Cyberman Bill
November 24th, 2014 - 10:59pmDoes the Ninth Doctor’s sonic have a blue led or is it that stupid black light one? Also, does anyone know if it has just the 2 new sounds or does it have the 4 sounds (2 new, 2 old)? I hope it just has the 2. I don’t like it when the “New Who” sonics have the 4 sounds which include the 2 “Old Who” ones!
The Legend Doctor
November 25th, 2014 - 10:57pmBlue LED:)
Cyberman Bill
November 25th, 2014 - 11:17pmDoes it have 4 sounds or 2?
The Silent Silent
November 26th, 2014 - 7:06am4 sounds.
The TARDIS 12600
November 24th, 2014 - 8:44pmDoes the 9th Doctor’s have a button on the slider?
Cyberman Bill
November 24th, 2014 - 10:55pmNo…. It’s just made to look that way. If you look closely enough, you can see the 2 buttons on the side that trigger the lights and sounds. I wish they would put the button on the handle. I don’t think it’ll ever happen, though.

November 25th, 2014 - 10:39amor a touch control version? I bet they didn’t even fix the sounchips. Bit infuriating these constant repackagings without any improvement.
Anthony
November 24th, 2014 - 5:53pmI never bothered with these. Might get eights , fifths – 4ths – third’s? Ah the new 12ths touch and control is by far the best. Wonder if the button will work on the slider as its visible on the photos…

November 24th, 2014 - 1:26pmGuessing they didn’t go with the metallic Ninth/Tenth then, unless it’s to be released!

November 24th, 2014 - 4:53pmI really would love a metallic screwdriver I would even pay up to £15.00 or £20.00 for one of those…..!
and a
Sarah jane lipstick but that would be £10.00…..
GallifreyanKnight
November 27th, 2014 - 9:49pmCaptainJimiPie, that was just an in-factory prototype that someone stole on the way out and then flogged on ebay.
It will NEVER be mass produced.

GallifreyanKnight
November 27th, 2014 - 9:44pmThe black end cap is permanently attached.
The section that the black end cap is on, is NOT permanently attached to the rest of the sonic screwdriver though.
