Doctor Who The Other (War) Doctor 5″ Figure

Available to order from www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk

The ‘Other Doctor’ is the Doctor’s dark chapter, an _hitherto unknown incarnation whose existence he has spent centuries repressing, a secret he wants no one to know of.

He is a relic of the past, part of the great Time War, when he spent centuries fighting alongside his fellow Time Lords against the Daleks and made the final decision to end it with a desperate act that cost that incarnation the right to use the name “Doctor”.

This haunted and battle-worn Other Doctor is finally forgiven after helping find a new solution to end the war, giving the Eleventh Doctor a new purpose as he heads into further adventures.

I agree. The Mcgann head isn’t 100% accurate, but it is a ‘bonus’.

Very good detail (especially on the coat) but unfortunately Paul Mgcann’s head just looks weird on it.

Awesome. Now how about the 11th Doctor to go with this followed by the 12th. And why not re-release the 10th Doctors Tardis re-painted for the War Doctor.

Unfortunately once again Forbidden Planet have delayed this figure from 28th February to 10th March now. Forbidden Planet International still list as 28th but could change soon enough.

Very annoying to be honest. This happens with every release through Forbidden Planet.

In my opinion this should lead to a War Doctor and 8th Doctor in 3.75 inch and a Dark eyes 8th Doctor. What does everyone think

Why are C.O relesing this in 5inch and relesing the rest of the 50th figures in wave 2 of 3.75 figures?

Is it because all the outher doctors are relested in 5 ?

Also it kind of makes sense if you think about it, as the War Doctor is in a way the last “Classic” Doctor.

it takes months to develop an item and thing cant be just changed at the last minuet

This is probably extremely unlikely but let’s hope that this is part of a collect and build wave including 11th doctor (series 7 pt2), Clara, new 10th doctor, Kate Stewart, Osgood and Zygon figures.

Zygons are looking likely in 3.75 inch figures as can be seen from the promo picture of the new Capaldi figure. 😉

      January 25th, 2014 - 3:40pm

oh my, that would be even better than having a single release Dark Eyes Doctor!

  • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby

    January 17th, 2014 - 11:21pm

I defifinately now think CO and UT should release as a FP Exclusive a Night of The Doctor Eighth Doctor Figure with a variant of Paul McGann’s swappable head with cuts and bruises. What also could be included is a swappable head of The War Doctor but looking younger from the end of Night of The Doctor. This could then mean that you could swap between the two Eighth Doctor Headscuplts and put the young War Doctor head on The Day of The Doctor War Doctor’s body and have a choice between the standard and bruised Eighth Doctor swappable heads.

      CONTINUED
The Accessory’s that could come with him could be the goblet he drunk out of that made him Regenerate and his Sonic Screwdriver but unlike the original Variant that came in The Eleven Doctors Set could be painted to make it look screen accurate.

    • WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby

      January 17th, 2014 - 11:27pm

You could also have a Regenerated War Doctor Variant by swapping the 2 heads around.

      January 19th, 2014 - 5:55pm

Why thank you Tennantbaker12. I heard from one of batmanmarch’s Vlog’s on his Blogspot that the swappable Eighth Doctor Head that’s included with this has shorter hair than he did in Night of The Doctor. He also said that his hair was shorter in the Promotional Pictures he appeared in for Dark Eyes which brings a possibility that we could be seeing a Dark Eyes Eighth Doctor Figure from Underground Toys possibly in the near future.
