Tardis Soap-on-a-Rope and Washbag (Thinkgeek)

Available to order in the USA from www.thinkgeek.com

This cute TARDIS soap on rope comes in an even cuter “washbag.” We think it’s probably for carrying your stuff to and from the shower when you’re in a shared housing situation like a dorm, but we immediately thought of other uses.

I thought boots here in the UK would have done a Dr who themed item this Christmas. I do like this item but postage is putting me of buying it.

Turn’s out this was made by the UK License Holder in 2015 as an Exclusive for Thinkgeek only. Obviously nothing for the UK of course! It list’s their UK address on the BBC Label attached & the Thinkgeek site has it marked down as an Imported product.

This is brilliant! I love these soap-on-a-rope gimmicks with a cool little Tardis bag with it. I really want one. Checking the price for the UK it’s about £14 which is under the Customs Rate THEN I actually saw the Standard Postage charge to the UK $27.62 = £19. So the postage is more than the actual item! Look’s like I won’t be buying this nifty little soap after all. HOPEFULLY it will turn up in the UK in about 2/3 years time but I don’t hold out for it because loads of this stuff never appears in the UK. Why not?
