Master Replicas 1:6 Scale The Master (Roger Delgado)

Available to order from www.masterreplicas.com

The Master is part of a new line of Master Replicas high-end One Six Scale Collector Figures,. It is being produced in a strictly limited edition of 500 pieces.

This incredibly detailed figure features a fully-realised likeness of Roger Delgado, who was the first actor to play the Master. It has over 30 points of articulation and interchangeable hands. It is dressed in an authentically styled fabric costume, comes with multiple accessories including a tissue compressor, laser weapon, 26th-century pistol and Kronos Crystal The figure comes with a display base.

The Master was introduced in Doctor Who’s seventh season and was devised to as the Moriaty to the Doctor’s Sherlock Holmes. Like the Doctor, he was a Time Lord but his thirst for power caused him to cross swords with the Doctor and UNIT on several occasions. Suave, yet sinister and with a deep hypnotic stare, the Master was one of the most dangerous men in the Universe.

This is a preorder that will ship at end of the year. This is a strictly limited edition of 500 pieces.

So having learnt my lesson from the bad experience with BCS – pay for these items on credit card or through Paypal credit. Then should anything happen – like the company going bust – you can make a legitimate claim to the Financial Ombudsman and get your money back. Even paying just one instalment – no matter how small – on credit means you can make a claim on the whole amount. Hopefully this won’t be happening but once burnt and all that.

I imagine this is quite a kick in the teeth for the people who pre-ordered, paid, then lost the lot when it was available through BigChief.

I used a credit card with BCS, but they dragged it out so long I couldn’t make a claim. I think it was only available up to 2 year and BCS was something like 3 years by they time they went bust, but maybe different banks have different policies. Probably best to check into, just in case. Hopefully MR is a bit quicker.

I too lost a vast sum of money to BCS for pre-orders that I waited nearly 4 years for.

I recently chased the liquidators only to be told that there is no money left to pay the creditors.

I was unable to claim back any money from my bank as I had originally paid in instalments under £100 – apparently if it was over £100 my bank may have been able to refund the cost.

These are great figures but it just puts me off losing potentially more money if anything goes wrong with M/R and if release dates keep being put back.

Yeah Joe 90. I can’t Remember the Exact Amount as it was Quite awhile ago Now but I lost around 800 Quid on the Tom Baker and Colin Baker Signature Editions and K9.
Would have Been alot more but I started to get Itchy Feet and Cancelled my Captain Jack, The Master and Gold Dalek and Grey Dalek Orders, before they went Bust.
I Noticed the Disclaimer again on the Bottom of the Page about only being a Provisional Release Date and could be pushed Back.
      Master Replicas can Keep them.

The Problem with Big Chief was it was only a fairly Small company and therefore the Production Numbers were small in Comparison.
In the last Few Months before they went Bust I Corresponded with them Quite alot.
The Main Problem they said was the Factories in China that they worked with Also made Products for other much bigger Company’s like Hot Toys and Sideshow Collectibles and Big Chief told me the Factories, time and again prioritized the Bigger Company’s with the Much Bigger Production Runs over them, saying there Contracts were much more valuable to them and they didn’t want to lose there Custom.
I remember at the Time the Factories were pumping out Star Wars and Marvel 12 inch Figures while we were waiting 3:or 4:Years for our Dr Who Figures to arrive.

If I’m Honest I should imagine Master Replicas will have entered into a Similar Contract. (With Maybe the Same Chinese Factories) which will always prioritize the Big Company’s with the Worldwide IPs..

Doesn’t matter what you pay with. There are a number of time periods to get a chargeback from your Bank. Once you exceed those time limits, you lose any chance of getting any money back. I lost out with Eaglemoss because I had exceeded the time period – Never again!
