Two spacecraft fuse in a hyperspace collision, and with the dimensional instabilities threatening everyone aboard, it’s fortunate the Doctor (Tom Baker), Romana (Lalla Ward) and K-9 arrive to help.

McGann is the Doctor
March 27th, 2012 - 3:10pmReally want to see this now, I have Peter Davison’s complete season 21 (special edition Caves of Adrozahni and I hate warriors of the Deep and the Dalek story so I won’t be watchign them, phew π ).

McGann is the Doctor
March 27th, 2012 - 3:12pmBut have decided to give the 5th Doctor a break for a while, have seen all the stories from Earthshock to the Five Doctors.
I really want to watch Nightmare of Eden on DVD now, but should wait for it to come down in price. π ………………
Doctor Who DVD Collector
March 12th, 2012 - 3:23pmMy 12th birthday is 09 april but I am not getting this. I am getting
1. ‘Talons of Weng Chiang’
2. ‘The Seeds of Death’
3. ‘The Caves of Androzani’
4. ‘The Robots of Death’
5. ‘The Three Doctors
All are the original releases.
McGann is the Doctor
March 14th, 2012 - 2:00pmπ but you could easily get Robots of death the Three Doctor the Caves of Adrozahni from the Revisitations 1 + 3 sets, which are available now !
You’re choice, but the DVDs of Three Doctors and Robots of Death in particular are rubbish, it won’t be as good.
You should atleast get DVDS of stories which aren’t otherwise being rereleased !
It’s your choice but this would be unwise. β
Doctor Who DVD Collector
March 14th, 2012 - 7:40pmbut thats the thing. I dont want the new ones as there totally different to the original ones. I also like the original because of the fact that its called a SPECIAL EDITION!
McGann is The Doctor.
March 18th, 2012 - 8:03pmOh right, well, suit yourself. It’s pretty easy to find the old ones, people are putting them up for sale mega-cheap because they are getting the Revisitations box sets.
The Monitor
April 11th, 2012 - 5:37pmWell you live up to your name “Doctor Who DVD Collector”. I too collect every version of DVDs. I would never get rid of the first versions. I never watch any extra features. Where time is short, I would rather just get on with watching another story than watch the extra features.
Doctor Who DVD Collector
March 4th, 2012 - 2:07pmI might be getting this and the daemons for my birthday. Anyway for next year I would like to
see:
Paranormal Activity boxset:
1a)Ambassadors of Death
1b)Mind of Evil
2)The Tenth Planet
3)The Ice Warriors
4)Terror of the Zygons
5)Lost in Time (remake)
gordon
March 5th, 2012 - 10:23amI think there is a good possibility we will get ambassadors this year. Peter crocker who deals with visual restoration said on the galifrey base forum on the 5th of february:Work recommences on “The Ambassadors of Death” tomorrow, with a target completion date of early March. Providing nothing goes wrong it should be finished round about any day now. As everything else except artwork has been done for it i would say there is a good chance of release this year butif it does it wont come out till at least about august time at the earliest.
Doctor Who DVD Collector
March 12th, 2012 - 3:17pmThat might not be true. I dont think that it would be coming out this year because we already know what DVD releases there are going to be.
gordon
March 13th, 2012 - 6:56pmI never said it was true. Only said it was a possibility that we might get it this year . We know roughly what we are getting but we dont the final list yet. We know the exact release date of the first 6 months of the year but the releases of the 2nd Half of the year have yet to go up for preorder. There might a suprise knowing 2e in the past ie the suprise appearance last year of colony in space and in 2010 seeds of doom. Just because something is listed as coming out in a certain year doesnt mean it will be. Plans change.
gordon
March 13th, 2012 - 7:00pmLook at ambassadors (originally scheduled 2011) and zygons (stated as a 2012 release despite the fact it wasnt) as 2 examples
McGann is the Doctor
March 14th, 2012 - 2:02pmIf you want DVD information the interview in DWM 444 is well worth a read.
It’s near the start.
booboo
March 14th, 2012 - 2:11pmno its not sort of info
Scott the Raptor
September 13th, 2013 - 9:35pmIt came out in October 2012!
McGann is the Doctor.
February 28th, 2012 - 12:21pmPoint at me and say I’m mad, but out of the Face of Evil, the Daemons, and this, I think THIS is the one I’m going to buy first.
Why ? Because the last time I watched Tom Baker it was the whole Key to time season (instead of the Pirate planet I watched the linking story, Ferrils Folly, bigfinish), and the creature from the pit.
So this would be a good continuation before I watch Meglos and Espace trilogy. π Had this all planned in advance, π
Romana2rules
February 17th, 2012 - 6:47pmIs Shada even coming out I thought they had only made parts 1 and 2 when it was canceled???
Romana2rules
February 17th, 2012 - 7:08pmOr will they be animated???
booboo
February 17th, 2012 - 7:17pmthere were full episodes plus many bits from the other episodes including a lot of the end so the could animate the missing parts
Gordon
February 17th, 2012 - 10:37pmShada will be getting a dvd release later this year in a legacy box set with more than 30 years in the tardis. Its not getting animated. Ian levine did do animation of it with the purpose of selling it to 2e but it fell through for an unknown reason
booboo
February 17th, 2012 - 10:39pmthat’s a shame
Romana2rules
February 18th, 2012 - 8:02amWill they just leave bits out or will it be audio like the moonbase in the lost in time boxset !!!
booboo
February 18th, 2012 - 9:36amthere is no original audio of the missing bits as they were never filmed. Tom Baker narrated the gaps on the VHS release
Gordon
February 18th, 2012 - 9:49amIts that vhs version that is getting released.
McGann is the Doctor.
February 28th, 2012 - 12:22pmWe will see. But we do know it’s being released in a set “The legaxy boxset” and the Documentary 30 years of Dr Who will be included. β
McGann is the Doctor.
February 6th, 2012 - 9:15amI need to get this story on DVD !
BTW, I am glad it’s out, because I thought the Nightmar of Eden would be released at the end of the year with Shada on DVD boxset :/ Since they are both the same year. β
Gordon
February 6th, 2012 - 10:36amIt was mentioned about a year ago that it was a stand alone release
McGann is the Doctor.
February 10th, 2012 - 9:51amWell as you can see, there was something else that was mentioned.
I’m nto dissapointed or anything, infact I’m glad one of my awaited stories is available to buy in just a month β
I will ahve to stop spending on other things, and then I’ll have enough to get all the stories I still need to get. π
TARDISTIK
February 5th, 2012 - 9:43pmBooboo, could you please put pages for the DVD Files back on please because I have no idea how many issues there are going to be and what episode is on each DVD like before
Thanks,

Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 5th, 2012 - 7:00pmYes The Curse Of The Black Spot was good. Apart from a disappearing character, some obvious plotholes, random conclusions and Rorys 1,655th death it was pretty darn good!

February 5th, 2012 - 10:10pmKing of the Tenza, the Peg Dolls terrified me at first but they are definitely cool!
I wear a deerstalker now. Deerstalkers are cool! Wait what? MOFFAT!!!
King of the Tenza
February 6th, 2012 - 12:55pmNow that you mentioned that, they terrified me too, thinking they will come out of the cupboard singing Tick Tock Goes the Clock and saying ” Don’t run away. We just want to play!” But they are awesome now, DW never scares me except the Flood. I like Tenza now, Tenzas are cool!! π π
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 6th, 2012 - 3:47pmTenzas are cool!
Another scariest monster though is The Weeping Angels. They were scary in Blink but they kind of lost their touch (no pun intended) in The Time Of Angels/Flesh And Stone. They were good in Touched By An Angel though and I can’t wait to see (or read) what tricks (no pun intended) they’ll throw at us in Magic Of The Angels! π
King of the Tenza
February 6th, 2012 - 4:40pmNah, I think the Weeping Angels are not scary. I just think the Flood are scary! What did you think of them???
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)
February 6th, 2012 - 4:52pmThey were alright but not that scary. The Flood monsters looked creepy though I’ll say that and the atmosphere and music was creepy. The Waters Of Mars is my favourite out of The Special series though!
King of the Tenza
February 6th, 2012 - 4:54pmI cant really remember what happens in it, I have only seen it once and NEVER want to see it again!
Bow tie of Doom (Mood fit woo eb)

February 6th, 2012 - 5:40pmWaters of Mars was a good episode I think, but I think the BBC went a bit far, not good for younger fans if the show

February 5th, 2012 - 3:36pmSomeone please reply to my questions!! π
Radburn
February 5th, 2012 - 4:13pmDon’t bother! Just buy the lot & start from the beginning with the 1st. Doctor like I did. That way you can catch up on all the references made over the last few years & enjoy it all from the original daleks as they progress through the years as well as everything else…
King of the Tenza (Previously King of the Cybermen)
February 5th, 2012 - 4:27pmYes, but I have seen the 1st Doctor’s An Unearthly Child, and I SERIOUSLY didn’t like him!
Bow tie of Doom (Previously The Wooden Prince)
February 5th, 2012 - 4:30pmThe Silurian and Sea Devil stories are all in a boxset called Beneath The Surface. They were the first I got so I’m not really watching the classics in order that much. I’d also recommend Day Of The Daleks.

February 3rd, 2012 - 6:25pm“Ooo my arms! My legs! My EVERYTHING! Aawwwwwooo!”
I can never work out if I think this is the most unbelievably pathetic lines ever in doctor who’s classic history or one of the funniest π
Finlay
February 3rd, 2012 - 7:25pmWho said that line?
matparks08
February 3rd, 2012 - 7:29pmIt was Tom Baker in, I think, episode 3 whilst escaping from Mandrells. It’s not seen on screen just heard. It’s ….terrible!!
Finlay
February 3rd, 2012 - 7:32pmYou’re right, I think it was funny because it was pathetic!

McGann is the Doctor.
February 3rd, 2012 - 9:12amIt is a great story, much more Doctor Who tahn the Christmas special was.
King of the Cybermen
February 2nd, 2012 - 6:27pmI’ve actually never seen classics except An Unearthly Child and The Movie.
I have heared the third Doctor and the fifth are good, and I’m thinking to watch some. Who else is good??
booboo
February 2nd, 2012 - 6:34pmthey are all good in their own way and everyone has the favourite
Bow tie of Doom (Previously The Wooden Prince)
February 2nd, 2012 - 6:57pmJon Pertwee (Third Doctor) is my favourite Doctor and Peter Davison (Fifth Doctor) is my fourth favourite! I suggest you watch the clasic Silurian/Sea Devil stories. They’re the first classic stories I properly watched and I loved them. The Hand Of Fear (Sarah Janes last classic story) is another great one.
Bow tie of Doom (Previously The Wooden Prince)
February 2nd, 2012 - 7:01pmHorror Of Fang Rock is another amazing story. For something made in the late 70’s it looks great and the atmosphere is chilling and the tone is very dark. A must see! π
matparks08
February 2nd, 2012 - 7:15pmRemembrance of the daleks is a good one for new viewers I think, a good story with great acting from regulars and guests. It has a few surprises and twists, and also has links to the beginnings of Doctor Who. It may not be the very best but a good start
Bow tie of Doom (Previously The Wooden Prince)
February 2nd, 2012 - 7:30pmI like Remembrance! It’s really great! Another must see!
King of the Cybermen
February 3rd, 2012 - 5:16pmOk thanks for the suggestions, but can you give me 3 must sees of The third and fifth doctor? Thanks!

Classic Who Is Cool !
February 5th, 2012 - 5:44pmMy fav classic doctor is the 4th doctor, he has some really good stories, the key to time box set is awsome, but eppisodes i would recomend are,
1. Destiny Of The Daleks
2. The City Of Death
3. The Robots Of Death
4. The Revenge Of The Cybermen
5. The Invasion Of Time
i think these are all good stories a new viewer to classic episodes would enjoy π
Classic who is cool
February 2nd, 2012 - 11:34amThis Is one i will definatley be bying, my fav doctor, my fav companion out of the classics, and a episode i really want to see, cool cover not to sure about the look on romanas face though LOL π
McGann is the Doctor.
February 2nd, 2012 - 9:07am(Please don’t be discouraged to read )
After watching the Key to Time series on VHS, I wanted to see this story, since there was no DVD (yet. π ) I bought and read the book.
I can tell you now, this is a story I really like.
Wonder if the episode will be as good as the novel so far, the Novel so far is sometimes quite actioney, with chase scenes down corridors, and elevators, and dark, shadowed figures knocking out the main characters, and being chased, and mysteries being solved. π β
I will have to get this DVD as soon as β
gordon
February 2nd, 2012 - 10:43amSadly the novel and the telivised story are 2 different things. Prepare for a let down
the TARDIS
February 2nd, 2012 - 3:50pmIt’s not that bad. And for a 70’s Doctor Who, the monsters are actually fairly convincing.
Tom Ford
February 2nd, 2012 - 8:57amLooking foward to seeing the look at the production. My friend’s dad used to work at the BBC and has an old stage script of this story. May ask him about the production of this story and see if he can relate to that documentary feature.
gordon
February 2nd, 2012 - 10:41amThe production defenitly lived up to the word nightmare. Tom and the director had a massive falling out to the point that the director quit and retired. Producer Graeme Williams took over director duties and This story influienced him to leave at the end of the series
the astronaut of death
February 1st, 2012 - 8:22pmbooboo i know this has nothing to do with the artical but i was just on the doctor who convention website and it saidIn addition to the three main panels, the Convention will also feature events and activities throughout the day, including:
β’ A wide range of Doctor Who merchandise including exclusive and limited edition items dose that meen there may be a rory figure there
Bow tie of Doom (Previously The Wooden Prince)
February 1st, 2012 - 8:26pmI don’t think there will be an exclusive Rory figure as it would probably anger those not going and it’d anger me too! However if there is a new wave soon Rory will most likely be in there. π
booboo
February 1st, 2012 - 8:26pmNo, if they made Rory exclusive to the convention i would predict a riot.
In the main it will probably be mugs pens and t shirts etc they may have more i will try to find out sometime
Alex
February 1st, 2012 - 5:12pmOne of my favourite baker and all time stories, but I wish it had isolated score, and CGI effects
matparks08
February 1st, 2012 - 4:32pmSorry, I love the cover – but the story is the worst of the Fourth Doctors for me.
alex
February 1st, 2012 - 9:15pmOMG, I hate the cover, love the story LOL
McGann is the Doctor.
February 2nd, 2012 - 9:09amI expected the cover to be darker, but wahtever, it’s allright.
Are you actually saying this is even worse than Underworld ?! Well opinions differ, my least favourite stories of the 4th Doctor are Talons of Weng Chiang, and Horns of Niimon ! π
matparks08
February 2nd, 2012 - 9:23amIf you want to talk about differences of opionion…..Talons of Weng Chiang your LEAST favourite?? Are you just saying that to provoke debate? My opinion is that the season that includes the magnificent City of Death is damaged by 4 other stories that can’t even touch it. Eden ranks as the worst for me thanks to the …..agh my arms, agh my legs, agh my everything!!!!
booboo
February 2nd, 2012 - 9:27amTalons of weng chiang has always been my favourite story (and probably always will be)
gordon
February 2nd, 2012 - 10:33amI will agree with you on nimon but Tallons your least favourite 4th doctor story. WHAT! Sorry but that doesnt compute. Its total classic and was voted 4th best dr who story of all time in 2009. What is your favourite 4th doctor who stories?
booboo
