‘I didn’t want people whistling my costume’ I’ve never heard that phrase, what does it mean?

I was wondering about that too. Every definition of ‘whistle’ I can find online is ‘to utter a shrill note’ as you would expect. It seems likely they meant to put ‘whistling at my costume’ — as in he wanted it to be functional, not something that would draw attention — which fits with the leather jacket

I presume the 60 Panini on the front means it’s their 60th Anniversary
Used to love collecting there sticker albums and trying to fill them. Back then, most years I collected the Football albums but I also remember owning a album on cars and even one on Dinosaurs. Argh the good old days.

25 years, wow time flies. Paul was my first doctor. I missed the first transmission on BBC1, but caught a repeat that christmas. Paul was underrated as the Doctor. Bring Back Paul McGann.

Paul is an excellent Doctor, it’s a shame the BBC doesn’t better utilize him in a live spin off series: Classic Doctors: The 8th Doctor. Fans would enjoy this immensely:) even if they sold rights back to the U.S. and allow them to produce.

Definitely needs to have a live action spin off series. An animated min-series in collaboration with big finish would be quite cool too!

Flipping hell 25 years, I remember watching his movie in 1996 on a square CRT TV while sitting on my bed in reach of the few Doctor Who VHS tapes I owned then.

Always great to see Paul McGann take center stage. Still holding out for an Eighth Doctor mini TV series or something. Luckily he hasn’t aged much, but that won’t always be the case.

The subscriber’s cover will look stunning. I really love the 8th Doctor – thank god “Big Finish” have given him so many great stories and companions.

Handsome! Very much looking forward to reading the Paul McGann interview. Sounds fascinating just from the strapline (presuming it comes from the interview).

Love ‘The Ambassadors of Death’ too!

Do you mean the ‘I was crushed’ bit? I think that’s to do with the article they’re running with a guy who didn’t get to be the 8th Doctor in the end (see inside back cover of last issue) rather than part of the Paul McGann article?

Yes Gareth, after I read a bit more I realised I may have made the wrong assumption on that one!! Just as long as it doesn’t refer to David Burton! I’m sure it will still be a great read anyway…

Yes, I’m wondering if its Harry Van Gorkum – the US actor supposedly in the ‘final two’ with PM – supposedly the preference of either Universal as co-makers or Fox as the network agreeing to carry the Movie? We’ll see… as you say, I’m sure it will be a great article!
