Mine arrived eventually yesterday (Monday). Never been this late before, although our post deliveries are a little up the creek in our area these days anyway….

Love this issue – continuing with more Marco Polo features and the 50 scariest moments. Loads of great pics of Daleks and Mechanoids from this new animated series too.

DWM: We are contributing to TLV with this 3 part comic!
People who don’t normally buy: Hope it’s collected as not buying this for…
DWM: As you can see here, it is separate from the magazine.
People who don’t normally buy: Ah cool, I’ll get this then because it’s separate.
    DWM: And remember…
    12/10/20
People who don’t normally buy: Hey! This looks like it’s part of the magazine! I thought it was going to be separate!
    DWM: … no refunds!

I do normally but it anyway but think they would have made more money with people who don’t by making the strip separate.

Your right there Mrs Croot. I bought it as did several people I know. All of us are very annoyed. I know of five people who have said they won’t buy the rest of the magazines and one who has said he won’t buy any of the magazine specials anymore either.

They kept this Issue very quiet up until the actual release. Despite trying various avenues by email, I could get no information from anyone on this Issue. Now I know why – The ‘supposed’ 2nd Part of “Monstrous Beauty” only run’s to 8 pages & is glued in. Not even bothering to put it in the middle stapled. I am not happy with this at all! When the original advertising blurb was released it made it seem like it would be 3 separate Comics. I find this rather underhand.

Only bought last magazine on the understanding it would be 3 separate comics. Very very annoyed. Not going to buy it now. If its collected fine. If not equally fine. Really really not happy

After a good run over the last couple of months, bit of a shame that there is no sign of my subscribers copy so far this week. Have others received their copy?

so some help for the Confused.

The NEW comic Strip BAD BLOOD is a 13th Dr comic strip? yes have I got that right.

Monstrous Beauty part two and Three are in the magazine pages or like last month a seperate comic?

Does my Sub copy come with Monstrous Beauty, either internally or Seperate. ? or do we have to buy a seperate Mag from FP.

    sorry if this is obvious.

We are all in the same boat, replies on twitter suggest its “in” the magazine, ie part of it rather than separate, but I’ve yet to see (unless anyone can correct me) a definitive answer from DWM

was part one of the Comic smaller than the magazine?

When they say Bad Blood I think it’s a reference to how there are vampires in Monstrous Beauty (which’ll be the only comic strip in the magazine)…

Same size as the mag, BooBoo. and very nice . would they have two comic strips internally?

      October 12th, 2020 - 2:08pm

could be then this has been designed to be “removed” via staples? I’m not up on these things but it would put me off buying to be honest if its not separate .

As far as I can tell/interpret, ‘Bad Blood’ (as the anonymous poster says) is not a title so much as a headline for the cover, referring to the fact that Monstrous Beauty features vampires (hopefully that’s not too much of a spoiler, assuming anyone wanting to read part 1 has done so by now….) And ‘new comic strip’ perhaps isn’t meant to be taken as ‘a brand new story starts this issue’ but ‘new’ as in ‘previously unpublished instalment [of the current comic strip, that’s already begun]’.

I must admit, it seemed a bit strange having the TLV guide and articles inside the main mag last time and part 1 of Monstrous Beauty in the separate supplement; in a way, having all 3 parts in the mag itself, and the TLV guide stuff as a separate mag to keep handy across the TLV project to keep referring back to, might have made more sense? Dunno. I imagine it *WILL* get collected in a Panini GN in the not-too-distant future.

I think bad blood is just part two of monstrous beauty.

Oh yes, sorry, I just remembered- DWM said on social media a couple of months back that 13th Doc comic strips would resume in issue 558 / on sale in December, so this won’t be referring to a new 13th Doctor strip, no.

Have to say boo boo I’m in two minds about this. I do recall in the last issue getting concerned when it said something about making an event for the first part by having it seperated from the mag. Soon as i read that my heart sank.

Well that’s annoying. Decision time… do I bother buying the mag for the strip or just wait and see if its collected? They really should have said it wouldn’t be separate for all three or I wouldn’t have wasted my money on the first issue. Very very annoyed.

Does this mean the issue I get from my newsagents won’t contain Monstrous Beauty?

It looks like the comic is in the magazine itself rather than a separate supplement like last time, i would of preferred it like that but oh well
