Ended up getting this cover, but I may get the other one if I have enough money left over at the end of the month.

The only thing I don’t like about the new version of the mondasian is that they have gloves instead of just human hands. In my opinion that’s what made them scary because you could still see a human part of them!!!

I think its just Surgical masking, like the faces of the old ones, but yeah, its a bit of a shame they didn’t keep the hands visible.

Also on a Cyberman related note, I noticed that the Earthshock – Attack and Silver Nemesis Cybermen seem to have what looks like an Artificial heart. They really don’t have a heart.

Any news if the 70’s or 80’s Cybermen will return booboo?

      May 28th, 2017 - 10:55am

Not BooHoo, but I don’t think the other Cybermen are appearing. While there were rumours of the ‘Revenge’ Cybermen appearing, as far as anyone (expect the production team) knows, its just the Mondasian, 2006 and 2013 versions.

Really hoping for the 1975 or 1982 Cybermen, would make more sense to have the whole variety of Cybermen then the very first and the most recent ones

I kinda like the number they already have. Just the NuWho Cybermen and Capaldi’s favourite ones. There may be a reason its only those 3. Besides, 3 is a nice neat number, with the recent figure rumours, I could see CO doing a 3-pack of a New Mondasian Cyberman, 2006 Cyberman and a 2013 Cyberman.

I would be satisfied if their was a good reason to have just the main 3 that have been announced, which I hope will be the case. I would love that, but its just the case if they actually decide to do it though

I wish this story only had the mondasian cybermen!!
I hope the majority are mondasian and they are used at least 90% of the time rather than just be seen in the background!!!

You can see human hands, look at the hands in the picture.

I really like this cover. Unfortunately, I can’t really find single issues of DWM here in Australia, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to get this. 🙁

Also, I really want CO to make this Cyberman a figure.

IT IS! It was part of the collect and build tomb cyber leader, then got released in an age of Steel set, then in the enemies of the 1st Doctor set.

Dalek4ever got it in one, it was released 3 times on all those occasions. I suppose they could release it again as their are a few minor differences between this one and the Hartnell version; such as thinner handle bars, different kind of mouth, slightly bigger helmet and a smaller light on top.

I’m talking about the slightly updated version seen here (e.g. the changes Prototype referenced (plus a more triangular gun)). I have 4 of the Tenth Planet versions. 😛

As much as I like these simple photo shoot style stripped down covers, and they work well and stand pretty defined as a magazine cover, I’d love a bit of Lee Binding style artwork now and again. Like, not all the time, I understand why that’s not possible, but sometimes, especially for an event like the Mondasian Cybermen.

Why two covers? I’m still only going to buy it once. I expect this from the silly comics but DWM is better than this.
