Doctor Who Circuit-Breaker The Kaleidoscope Hardcover
Available to order from www.amazon.co.uk
Delving into the story of one of the most elusive regenerations of the Doctor When memories lie, the truth can be fatal. In the aftermath of an improbable mission, the Fugitive Doctor and Martha realise that something is interfering with their minds. Something that doesn’t want to be found. Their investigation leads to a curious artefact in the British Museum- an apparently medieval toy known as the Kaleidoscope. But the object refuses to stay in one place, one time – or one identity.
And when the Doctor is repeatedly mistaken for someone she’s never met, fragments of unfamiliar memories begin to surface. Across the Earth, a hidden pattern emerges; evidence of a secret that someone has gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal. As ancient enemies close in and innocent lives are put at risk, the Doctor learns the hard way that some truths were buried for a reason… A key instalment of the Doctor Who transmedia event Circuit Breaker, this novel is written by the Fugitive Doctor herself, Jo Martin – and also features Martha Jones (as played by Freema Agyeman) together with the Unified Intelligence Taskforce, or UNIT.

May 1st, 2026 - 9:23amCan’t say I have much interest in this series, but wow what a stunning photo that is of Jo Martin!

May 1st, 2026 - 8:06amTLV was a mess. Doomsday was dreadful. Based on them, I suspect it will live down to my expectations…

December 24th, 2025 - 6:31amWell, another Who story I’ll miss out on again – the audio from Big Finish is just way too expensive and the games 1 not gonna happen. Big Finnish does the absolute best “movies for your kind” audio dramas, but their pricing is., well, fixed income isn’t gonna cut it for this story! Are most “Whovians” out there made of cash?

December 24th, 2025 - 10:07pmI now only by some books, primarily target books and adaptations, along with the dr who magazine comic strip collections and the erimem and Cushing books. Now after 2025 I’m stopping buying the original fiction as well. I still get the animations and new series but I’m not getting war between as I wasn’t too impressed by it. Money is a factor, it’s far too expensive to just buy everything but the fact is I’ve been finding the original fiction not to my taste for a while now. The idea of a book by jo Martin appeals but not at £22 and there is no guarantee of a paperback edition. Besides these multi media events don’t appeal much to me now so I think I wont be getting any of it. For those who do get it, I hope you enjoy it.

December 24th, 2025 - 10:21pmI don’t game, I’m way to old, missed that on. But I love my Audiobooks,Vinyl & CD and the Books. With TLV I didn’t do “everything” nor with Doom’s Day. But both ranges were very enjoyable. Big Finish do the best. with full cast as BBC seem to go for Narrated. I believe both ranges sold very well in thier components and Target audiences.
Hopefully another Viny as TLV & Doom got one each. Now just waiting for the Vinyl Edition of a Walkman :

December 27th, 2025 - 10:12amTake the 9th Doctor adventures right now. Around a tenner, and you get Christopher Eccleston, Billie Piper, several other cast members, the writer, the composer, the script editor, the sound designer, the director, the cover artist and others wages to pay. A tenner ain’t bad for all of that. You don’t *have* to do all of their output, you can pick and choose. The pricing is *not* terrible when you consider every single creative involved with each release. Frankly, people often forget they are a small company and not made of money like the BBC or Amazon. Infuriating tbh.

December 28th, 2025 - 10:12amThere is so much big finish stuff that it is expensive. Plus I just lost interest in it after listening to them for a decade or so. My issue is there was just too many releases and I felt the quality suffered as a result.
Jamie
December 28th, 2025 - 11:07am@ Missyrules yes but you don’t have to do every single release, pick and choose. I’ve been listening a decade and I can honestly say without a doubt 2025 has been of their most consistent years for quality. Modern BF is phenomenal with releases like Genesis of the Cybermen, Hooklight, Planet Krynoid and Torchwood releases.

December 23rd, 2025 - 6:10pmI don’t game or listen to audio because they out of my budget but l do read the books so what the point in buying these if the story only left hanging
Jesse
December 24th, 2025 - 8:51amRight. Audios are inaccessible to me due to my deafness. So, yeah, what’s the point in buying these?!
Jamie
December 27th, 2025 - 10:32amIts designed so you can do whatever you want to get a full story, but you get the most from it if you do them all. Take TLV or Doom’s Day you can do just the audios, or just the books, the comics and get a story from them without needing to do everything. Albeit it was more the case for TLV than Doom’s Day but even still.

December 23rd, 2025 - 3:01pmOh dear, TLV and Doomsday mk 3 coming up.
Given the average Whovian age this never works.

December 23rd, 2025 - 4:57pmCan’t help but agree.
Never did any of Doomsday (the character didn’t appeal)
Did the 2 books and the BF audios for Time Lord Victorious and they were great.

December 23rd, 2025 - 6:22pmCan’t wait I loved the multimedia events – both of them! All of them!

December 23rd, 2025 - 12:11pmLet’s hope theyve earned from the “Doom’s Day” multi-platform mess! At least the Fugitive Doctor is a promising start.
