I think they should stop the waves of figures after the wave 4 and release boxsets of they series thats on at they time. I think it would be better as I hate 3.75’s when they repaint the same figure, we better not get another amy or 11th any time soon:)

there could be 5 to 6 figures in the boxsets

Boxsets would be worse as they would sell a 6 figure pack with 5 repaints (or not even that much, just exact same) with one new figure. So t’d be exactly the same as it is now, only you would literally be forced to buy repaints in order to get new figure whereas the current way allows you to just pick up, for example, the Skovox Blitzer.

Hopefully Charactor Options will stop just releasing these variants.
I want next wave to be:
    4a
    4th
    Classic Cyberman
    Missy
    Sarah Jane
    Half Faced Man
    4b
    Necros Dalek
    The Teller
    3rd
    9th
    The Brig
After all this isn’t just the new show, it’s about EVERY era of the show’s history.

Not a bad idea, but it’s probably better to group classic figures together in waves, as it makes more sense. Or, just hope for a 5 inch version instead!

The Skovox Blitzer looks as though it’s a good inch smaller than the other figures, so it’ll only be about 2.75 inches tall! Thats pretty tiny.

Love this version of the 10th! Still hoping for the other version of the 12th I’ve seen. I really wish they would release some Daleks that are better for Army building or have a detachable arm on the one holding the mutant that you can swap with a normal one.

Only issue I have with the waves are the variation in characters. Tbh that’s the only thing I really miss about the 5″ stuff….the mix up of the waves with monsters and obscure humanoid characters

I think the 3.75 scale is cute and would work if it weren’t for the decline in quality – sculpt and paint – on Characters behalf. Amy is truly appalling and the Capaldi likeness needs some work. This whole brand needs a massive shake up or it will just die out. Remember when Tennant’s reign was at its height, you could not move in Toys r Us for figures, now you have to search to find them. Next wave MUST focus solely on Capaldi era and new characters – please stop with the repaints and variants!!!

So, really the only new figures in this wave are Skovox and the 10th Doctor, right? Gold Supreme Dalek, Amy, 11th & 12th have already been released in previous waves.

The 10th isn’t new either, same body as the one on the Anniversary boxset, same as head as the previous standard release.

    • koloth

      December 4th, 2014 - 8:53am

Actually the Gold Supreme Dalek and Green coated 11th Doctor have not been on full release yet, like the 10th Doctor blue coated and Brown Amy. Yes they are all repaints but not been on full general release.

Skovox is the only new sculpt but is being shipped heavily in Wave 4a and b.

  • Destroyer of Worlds

    December 3rd, 2014 - 8:16pm

    Wave 4a is apparently:
    Twelfth Doctor caretaker
    Cyberman
    Skovox Blitzer
    Foretold

    And Wave 4b is:
    Twelfth Doctor Spacesuit
    Twelfth Doctor caretaker
    Clara
    Skovox Blitzer
    Foretold
    Cyberman
