Alongside Gomez, the cast of Dark Gallifrey: Missy – Part Three includes Jonathan Case as Mortimer Fox, Bruce Alexander as Scratch, Paksie Vernon as Alisa, and Jon Edgley-Bond as Klank.

Michelle Gomez, who originally played Missy in TV Doctor Who from 2014 to 2017, said: “The brolly’s never far away! I love it because I don’t want to let Missy go, and I love doing voice work and audio work. I love the precision. I’m a very physical performer and I can rely a lot on a look or a hip bump on stage or on screen. It’s a different kind of discipline when you’re working just with your voice, and I enjoy that.”

Script editor John Dorney added: “Dark Gallifrey is a lot of fun to work on. It’s a big sprawling range, but the key thing for me is giving the writers a large amount of creative freedom and the space to tell whatever story they want. Rochana has done an amazing job.

“As I’ve mentioned before, the idea with this range is that people can pick and choose as many or as few of the stories as they want and can listen to them in any order. If anything, you get more of a sense of what the meat and potatoes of Dark Gallifrey is with Missy, because it’s set in the middle and there’s a light dusting of the story arc in it.”
