I you pre-order the PDF, do you get to read it right away? Or do you have to wait for it to be available? It’s the ‘pre-order’ that confuses me.

Steve Berry just tweeted saying this “Behind The Sofa is 50% sold out in one day” so if you want your copy I would pre order it soon rather than later as it seems to be going very fast, I have pre ordered mine, it looks like a good read, and I can’t wait till it comes

I wouldn’t be too concerned with availability, this is a “first edition, advanced copy” more will be available later if you miss your chance (hopefully) although you should have a go now, after all it is for charity.

Since this book is about memories of Doctor Who I thought I’d ask what are your earliest memories of Doctor Who?
Mine is seeing the gas mask zombies (terrifying) and missing The Christmas Invasion (I thought it was on at 8pm. I turned the tv on and it had finished. Turned out it was on at 7.)

Mine is not being able to watch ‘Rose’ when DW first came back, as my parents reckoned I was to young! If I hadn’t been able to argue myself into being allowed to watch ‘The End of the World’ the next week, I would never be where I am today πŸ˜€

I also remember crying when K9 sacrificed himself to help defeat the Krillitanes. I was about seven I think and I could not stop crying. I was relieved when the Doctor gave Sarah Jane a new one. πŸ™‚

Good question, I have recollections of Warriors of the Deep (melting Sea Devil), Five Doctors and Vengeance on varos (marsh minnows Doctor?)but proper memories sink in when Sylvester McCoy’s era started – specifically Paradise Towers and Kanes sticky end in Dragonfire.

Probably The Invisible Enemy, possibly bits of season 14. Difficult to be exact because there were the occasional repeats then, so could have seen repeat rather than original transmission. Either way, just past the mid-1970s.

First bit of merchandise was Weetabix cards.

I remember watching The Waters of Mars and I was scared to drink water for a whole day! I remember watching my first episode, Rose back in 2006. And I remember nearly crying when The Tenth Doctor was regenerating and was sad and he visited his old friends and he said “I don’t want to go”. Ohh! It makes me sad now! When Matt Smith joined, I hated him, I hated Amy, I hated the new TARDIS, I hated the new opening theme and music and I hated the new sonic. Within a week I loved Smith, I loved Amy, I loved the new TARDIS and loved new sonic!!!!! πŸ™‚

Β£15 isn’t bad at all! It looks a very nice book.

There is no information on their website about what those special packages are. There is Ogron, Slitheen Morbius etc. Do you know what they are? one of them costs Β£1000!

Its on each page for example the Zygon package for Β£199.99 gets you your name, company graphic and illustrated sponsor’s message added to the list of sponsors in the book acknowledgements, and you will also receive a signed, high quality, giclΓ©e print of one of ten Ben Morris illustrations as featured in the book.

The Β£999 Morbius package is sold out, for that you got your own, personal 300-word memory featured in the book along with the celebrities

These are aimed to raise the money for the books costs as all the money goes to charity
