What is it, a pop up?

A bit of an oddity, as it left out only about two non Gibbons stories that would’ve made it a ‘complete’ collection. You’d have thought they would’ve added those as sort of ‘DVD extras’.

Curious over-arching title, though, isn’t it? Wouldn’t Volume One have been more appropriate?
I must check to see if they’re printing these the same size as the originals in Doctor Who Weekly.
I’d be happy if they decide to print them in a larger hardback format later. Something the size of the IDW Artist’s Editions would be rather lovely!
Hopefully we’ll get the wonderful John Ridgway Sixth Doctor run with Frobisher!

August 27th, 2026 - 12:52pmGood point re the title. This wouldn’t be volume one if they reprint the earlier, pre-DWW comics. So now I’m hoping they they will do so. I’d love to see theTV Comic ones again – I grew up with those!

It would still be Volume 1 of the Marvel Years, but I see what you mean.
As for the TV Comic strips, I was brought up on those too. I don’t understand why they haven’t been released. The Pertwee strips were reprinted in the Classic Comics, but with no love given to them!
Does anyone here know how we could get them reprinted? The Look-In archives like Space:1999 seem to do alright.

August 25th, 2026 - 3:41pmI wish they had just continued the “Anthologies” of each Doctors original run during their eras (only pointless one would be ‘The Tides of Time’ as it is the complete run of The Fifth Doctors initial run, plus the at-that-time left put Time Slip from the 4th Doctor Comics). Instead of this. And I see. To remember for some reason hachette sent me an email years before to fill out a survey and they asked if I would be interested in a Comic Collection for Doctor Who. And this seems like a series they would do.
