Demon Records celebrates Peter Davison’s fresh-faced and energetic incarnation of the famous Time Lord, 45 years after he first appeared on BBC TV screens. Available as a deluxe vinyl box set, this 4-disc set presents Peter Davison narrating two classic Doctor Who Target Books by Terrance Dicks alongside bonus audio items.
Doctor Who: The Peter Davison Collection (4LP Red & Purple Vinyl)
- Two classic stories read by Peter Davison
- Includes ‘Doctor Who: Kinda’ and ‘Doctor Who: Warriors Of The Deep’
- Contains archivve interviews and radio appearances
- Plus 12″ photographic print of the Fifth Doctor
- Pressed on 140g translucent red and purple vinyl
Doctor Who: Kinda relates the Doctor’s unnerving encounter with the mind-possessing Mara whilst Doctor Who: Warriors of the Deep tells of future conflict between humanity and the Earth’s original reptilian masters, the Silurians and Sea Devils. Bonus features include Peter’s appearance at Longleat House in 1983, alongside Janet Fielding and John Nathan-Turner, and interview extracts from 30 Years, View from the Boundary and Graham Norton.
Also includes a frameable photographic print of the Fifth Doctor in front of the TARDIS, along with a full colour booklet with cast, credits and tracklist information.
Accompanied by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop’s familiar Doctor Who theme, the Peter Davison
Collection is a fitting tribute to the charming, witty and endearingly youthful Fifth Doctor.

June 17th, 2026 - 10:50amWhat’s wrong with his face? :/
War Chief.
June 4th, 2026 - 9:37amTerrance Dicks always said he had ‘a pleasant, open face….’

June 2nd, 2026 - 8:12pmAlthough a well-known publicity shot from Season 19, the 12″ x 12″ photo print is rather nice, but it *is* ‘flipped’ with the Police Box sign reading backwards and the ‘Pull to Open’ door panel on the wrong side. Hopefully someone at Demon will notice that before it goes to the printers.

June 4th, 2026 - 8:40amThe flipped image problem is a bit of a major thing to get wrong!

June 2nd, 2026 - 6:16pmWho’s the best Company to Order from, Townsend or Hive? Or will Amazon be selling these in Future and would it be best to wait for there Pre-Order?
Thanks for any advice.

June 3rd, 2026 - 4:59pmHello, Yes I usually use Amazon. I don’t think I’ve ever used the the Hive or Townsend Company’s before so I thought I’d ask who’s the most Reliable and also packs there products well.
I’ve Gone with Townsend Records in the end.

June 5th, 2026 - 12:10pmTownsend are excellent, Snowman – I use them all the time for vinyl releases. Like booboo, not sure what Amazon are playing at with the vinyl of this release – but they seem to be a bit flaky with many DW releases lately, especially with delivery times. If other companies can deliver on the day of release, I don’t see why a large operation like Amazon finds this so difficult.
War Chief.
June 2nd, 2026 - 6:04pmI have nostalgic memories of reading the novels….in 1984…

May 24th, 2026 - 7:23pmKinda would be a strange one to listen to because so much of what makes it great is in the direction. And I say that as someone who has every single one of the Demon Music Group DW records. The dance of time, one of the most riveting sequences in the entire programme, must be pretty baffling to follow on audio alone.

May 24th, 2026 - 8:06pmThis isn’t the soundtrack it’s an abridged reading of the novels
ThingsFallApart
May 24th, 2026 - 6:51pmI guess it’s pretty much what we expected, but compared to the Baker and Pertwee releases it feels a bit meh. However, once the Amazon listing is sorted? I’ll be ordering it!

May 24th, 2026 - 1:13pmHopefully this may lead to a Colin Baker set with Attack of the Cybermen, out of the unknown and (fingers crossed) Slipback on vinyl!
War Chief.
June 2nd, 2026 - 6:02pmUm….there wasn’t much love lost between Colin Baker and Eric Saward….so don’t hold breath for that…
Amypondfan
June 2nd, 2026 - 6:13pmWar chief all of that exists. Colin read attack of the cybermen on abridged cassette and slipback is slipback, a vinyl release has nothing to do with feelings it all exists. Its more likely to be the two he did on cassette attack and varos
War Chief.
June 2nd, 2026 - 6:21pmWell strike me up a gum tree….I was just going by The 6th Doctor Handbook….and the Colin Baker Years video, where he couldn’t show clips from Revelation of the Daleks, as the author ‘refused to give his permission’….

June 2nd, 2026 - 9:25pmI don’t know where the time goes to….
It was 1992 when I read the Sixth Doctor Handbook….which I mainly bought for the scene by scene chapter of Revelation of the Daleks….
Still nearly 30 years wait till Saward wrote the novel (which he mangled disgracefully…)
