April 13th, 2016 - 5:30pmSpecial effects means computer generated ir added in post, yet the text at the bottom suggests it also contains information about the practical effects used. If that’s the case I’ll pick it up, if not I won’t bother.

April 13th, 2016 - 11:48amHow is it six decades? Thats 60 years, and we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Who in 2013. Shouldn’t it say over 50 years?

Plus it sounds better than saying “fifty something years of art and illusion in Doctor Who” or “Not quite fifty but not quite sixty years of art and illusion in Doctor Who”

April 13th, 2016 - 11:12amI doubt i’ll bother with this.
It sounds too much like a smaller version of the recent (and superb) Impossible Worlds book.
Floppy Who
April 13th, 2016 - 7:29pmImpossible worlds is a book on art and design in the programme…this sounds more like how the visual effects were achieved. I’ll be getting it regardless.. The recent DWM specials have been a gold mine of info interviews and features that haven’t appeared before.
(And no, I don’t work for Panini Magazines..!)

April 13th, 2016 - 11:15pmSure you do! (just kidding)
I’ll no doubt have a look at it in the shop. If it goes back to the sixties and seventies in depth then it will be worth picking up but otherwise so much of this stuff is covered in the regular mag that it doesn’t warrant a purchase. Only my opinion though.
