*sigh… still trying to get a serious face Jo Grant from the last set!

The attack Cyberman sounds good if it is just an ‘ordinary’ Attack one without all the Rogue painting etc. then I will be getting 8 for army building… Might even get more to mod the stealth cybermen to have the correct boots!

I can’t believe they are releasing Disco Dancing Rose again!! Why can’t we have a proper articulated version! They even did a prototype for it!

but not fully tooled which is very expensive and would not be viable in these sets

      April 8th, 2017 - 6:19pm

That’s a shame it would look so much better…

I wonder what colour the 9th Doctor’s T-shirt will be as that is the only real variation… I wish they would do the Father’s Day variant (green) as it was exclusive at the time to SDCC and I could never get one for sensible money, I suspect a lot missed out on this one!

yes i agree, unfortunately on these budgets if you are going to do a 9th Doctors set thats really the only Rose you can put in it

Interesting sets here… The 4th and 9th Doctor ones have my attention the most. Just hoping for a few repaints! Rose is definitely in need of one, and it’d be nice to see the 4th Doctor get the same treatment. I’d also really appreciate any Eccelston variant other than the burgundy jumper as that’s been done to death – perhaps the purple jumper one from the thirteen Doctors set? Preferably the black jumper (or the green if it’s no longer exclusive to SDCC)

Seventh Doctor (Cream coat, solemn head)

      Silver Nemesis Cyberman (rerelease)

Fourth Doctor (Genesis of the Daleks, correct tie colour)
Sarah Jane Smith (School Reunion repainted in Genesis/Revenge camo)
      Revenge Cyberman (rerelease)

I’d like someone to do a Cyber set like this:

Earthshock Cyber Leader (Repaint of ‘head rods’)
Attack Cyber Controller (New Head mould on Rogue body- I think we can live with him not being fat!)
Attack Cyber Leader (Repaint of ‘head rods’)

Shouldn’t cost them too much to do and would feel 3 gaps in people collections!

Sets I Want From B&M to be made…

Original Crew Set: Susan, Barbra & Ian
5th Doctors Companions Set: Tegan, Adric & Nysa
Time and the Rani Set: 7th Doctor, Mel & The Rani

I doubt any of them will ever happen though…

All nice ideas but the B&M sets exist on the basis that they have a tiny budget that doesn’t require/doesn’t allow for new sculpting – just a mix of rereleases and tweaked paint apps only. So, whilst an Invasion of the Dinos 3rd Doctor was possible, and certainly things like an Earthshock Cyberleader would fit the business model, brand new figures like companions who have not already been sculpted would not.

  • 100,000BC

    April 8th, 2017 - 12:00pm

Since those images are made up from previous publicity photos, is it possible that the mocked-up images do not take into account paint variations? They clearly haven’t taken *new* photos of these figures; they are taken from a back-catalogue of images similar to that big poster that did the rounds a few years ago showing all released and unreleased figures which had been made. Therefore if any of the figures were repaints, they wouldn’t have an image for them.

It would also really make me happy if Rose was one of the unreleased Series One or Impossible Planet ‘neutral pose’ figures. I suppose they may well still have the moulds, but it’s down to whether Billie Piper will allow it (haven’t there been Funko/Titan figures of her recently?)

I really want it to be an unreleased version. That would pave the way for the ‘Wheel in space’ Cyberman we want and deserve to be released.

    • booboo

      April 8th, 2017 - 12:21pm

Its possible, but the mock-up images are based on info sent about the variations to the figures in those other images going round

Hopefully it wont be to long before get official images so we can all see what we are actually going end up with

I don’t see why these sets are only in B&M. They should be in Toys R Us and other shops aswell. They make a nice little box set for children and are cheap, and B&M is mainly for like furniture and home stuff isn’t it? I think it makes more sense that they should be in Toys R Us and other toy shops

B&M have loads of toys and the only reason we are getting these is because they commit to buying them

I doubt similar sets in toyr r us ( or more to the point price of these sets) would fit their business model

I have an idea which is a pack of 3 bronze daleks (now model) because the new model is amazing and an exclusive to toys r us would be the dalek 3 pack but one will be dalek sec and please lets not let the pack not exclusive to the USA so that do people think of the idea

They did a repaint of Jo, so a possible repaint of Rose seems possible

I could see a repaint on the Auton too

I understand the frustration about the Cyber Controller, I picked him up with a Silver Nemesis Cyberleader for 25 bucks, so I can’t complain too much, tho I think it’s odd to pair to classic Cybermen with a modern Sontaran. I’d prefer a repaint to make a Two Doctors Sontaran.

The 4 set – I’ll totally pass on I think, I have all those figures

If Character/UT were smart, they would do one new figure with two repackaged – Give 4 and K9 a Romana,

I always Imagined unreleased sets consisting of two figures, at least one being unreleased. Example sets:
Terror of the Zygons: 4th Doctor (Kilt version, unreleased) and Zygon (Classic, re-release)
Waters of Mars: 10th Doctor (Spacesuit, re-release) and Andy Flood (unreleased)
Curse of Fenric: 7th Doctor (Duffle Coat, unreleased) and Hemivore (Possibly have scans?)

It’s an Eighth Doctor set for me or bust. Maybe a “The Night Of The Doctor” set with Cass and Ohila? And what the hell, in honor of John Hurt, throw in a younger War/Other Doctor. This would mean some new sculpts though, and we know that CO has basically become the “House Of Repaint” just a half an inch taller.

All of the other 12″ RC Daleks sold by B&M were £30 as far as I know so that’s my best guess! Seems like a missed opportunity to release the missing 13″ RC Scientist Paradigm Dalek considering it would just be a repaint.

Same here booboo. I think its also being released again for the new fans as well, as many who have grown up in the late smith and Capaldi era will most likely have not got it so its a chance for them to own it this time round as it was released in 2005 and then again in 2013. Will still buy it even though I own 3 already.

      April 8th, 2017 - 12:03pm

If this is the version of Rose that has already been released, I don’t think it means anything in terms of Billie’s agreement. Remember, they rereleased the Series 2 version in the Companions box set, and again a year or two ago. Presumably they can still do with the already-released versions whatever they like.

    • TARDISGuy

      April 11th, 2017 - 1:35am

Seems very odd to have two classic Cybermen with a new series Sontaran. In fact releasing two Cybermen with any Sontaran seems strange (since they aren’t related in any way). I’m also hoping that Leela is the original Leela and the Ninth Doctor is the black shirt variant.
