I’m really annoyed because they’re not selling normal blu-ray, but I’m happy with Adventure that’s with it!

I’m very pleased about this as I won’t be able to watch An Adventure in Space and Time. In my country we only get to watch BBC 1, and all the other BBC channels can only be looked at by paying an enormous extra amount of money. So to add this to the DVD is very welcome.

no its included so no nee to re order

Have to admit i am surprised, would have thought it would have justified a separate release

I would have preferred a stand alone on to be honest

This post is a little confusing….the title references the documentary, Adventure in Time but there is no mention of it in the body. Is this a special edition release or is this the same as what was posted a few days ago with updated information.

I’ve already preordered this and want to know if I need to cancel so I can order the version with Adventure in Time.

Maybe it has something to do with bad wolf! Also at the end of the Shakespeare Code queen Elizabeth I said the Doctor was her greatest enemy,… She is in this special so answers to her 2, can’t wait till 23rd November 2013

I don’t think the Liz One problem will be sorted here, the Doctor didn’t know during The Shakespeare Code and if he’s travelling with Rose here then he won’t find out at this point.

That was kinda explained in The End of Time Part 1.

      November 19th, 2013 - 12:39pm

It has been pretty much confirmed by a clip that the 10th doctor in this is 904 so this is set two years in his timeline before the end of time where he was 906. As he was 903 in series 4 this is clearly set between waters of mars and end of time from his perspective. Billie piper isn’t playing rose by the look of it looks more like her character will be a physical manifestation of bad wolf guiding john hurt’s war doctor as we have seen in trailers him talking with her and the other two doctors don’t appear to be able to see her.

For exclusive slipcovers for each blu ray/dvd version they could have one being the three doctors rested against smith’s Tardis. Then john hurt surrounded by fire and ash in a wasteland for the 3D version. The john hurt picture could also feature on the back of the 2D version

This is how I could imagine the cover: John hurt in the middle looking resolute, matt smith on one side running holding Clara’s hand and David tennant on the other holding rose’s hand. The whole place with fire and ash in the air and the galifrey domed city in the background on fire with the Tardis in mid air in the distance on fire. at the top the 50th anniversary doctor who logo with the cast names at the top like with most film posters. then under the characters at the bottom “day of the doctor in gold but burned and
    rusted galifrey font.

      Okay.

I have a feeling this episode is going to look marvellous on Blu-Ray. Just a shame I don’t have a 3D telly, as I’d snap up the inevitable 3D Blu-Ray straight away!

    • callum simmons

      September 10th, 2013 - 9:52pm

I hope the blu ray will not only be 3D. That would be a disaster!! I’m hoping for a 2D blu ray and a separate 3D version like they do with most films. Wonder what the cover will be like. I hope they don’t just do a generic who cover like the rest of the releases after 2010. What would be cool is a cover that is the film style poster for it which is rumoured to be appearing soon.

I’d like the cover to be David and Matt, then behind them are Jenna and Billie, and on top of them are the Zygons and the Daleks. It will probably have the 50th TARDIS logo on it.

I think they will release this and the Christmas special as vanilla releases then some time in February release a box set with this, the Christmas special, an adventure in space and time and an unearthly child: 50th edition all in a box set with tones of extra’s. It would be 4 disks and include other stuff like mini episodes, Dr who at the proms (2013) and maybe even the 50th anniversary advent held at excel latter this year.

If you say something is being announced every day chances are you will get in right once.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

      September 10th, 2013 - 11:32pm

Well, if it’s the minute hand, the clock will be right twice a day. If it’s the hour hand; it’ll be right 24 times a day. If only the second hand remains, it’ll be right 1440 times a day. So all positive for the broken clock
