Just ordered three army builders off ebay brand new for only £9.99!!!! silence,argos cybermen,weeping angels. Finally managed to get a green coat doctor for £3.49 which is a good deal considering how many tries it would take me to find him in a packet. They had green dress river for £4.99 i’ll get her some other time though.

already tried that! I ended up with an ood!!! They appear to have hidden the figures by putting the stand of the figure at the front and the figure itself behind it.I found a doctor and river on ebay for cheaper than it will cost me to carry on buying packs til i get the ones i want so i might just forget buying blind packets and get the ones i want from there…

Its still really easy to feel for figures. Yesterday my.dad.said i.could get one so i felt tgough the bpx. I foumd rory, 2 sontarens and river. But i was looking for the vashta nerda. I bought 1 packet and got it right. So thats the vashta.nerada added to my.collection.

Went into Ace Comics today and found some series 3 figure blind bags.I managed to get a sontaran,vashta nerada,bronze dalek and an ood. I really wanted the 11th doictor in green coat the most Now i am left with 10 monsters including ones my sister gave to me and from the monster pack. I just find it hard to believe that i didn’t end up with the most common figure!!!! I’ll buy another pack tomorow to try to get a doctor.an amy versus 10 monsters is not really that useful!!!

i brought the whole box from Tesco’s a couple of weeks ago- and it had 42 packs inside! i got about 3 of each character except madam kovarian which i didn’t get any of. Is she the rarest out of the lot or something?

You can take them off, but its just a peg under it as with every other figure (so the helmet effectively is the head).

You can get the Sontaran and Judoon helmet off in a future dr who cb set. They’re doing it alongside a cyberman, an ood and a silurian. But it doesn’t come with a helmet (to my knowlage)

It’s been impossible to find these anywhere in my area (Montreal, Quebec, Canada), so I snapped, and made a deal with the local comic store owner… I had to leave a deposit, and he ordered series 2 & 3 for me.
I bought enough of each box for him to break even, and was able to complete both series’… now they’re on my shelf with series 1!

If you can handle the packs before buying, look for a fat packet that feels bumpy. That will have a bronze Dalek in it for you.

Put a Series 1 Amy head on a Vampire body – Vampire Amy
Put a River Song head on a Series 3 Amy – River Song from ‘The wedding of River Song’
Put a Series 3 Cyber Controller head on a series 1 Cyberman – Cyber Leader from ‘The Next Doctor’.
Put a Series 1 Amy head on Series 3 Amy body – Amy from ‘The wedding of River Song’

if you want to army biuld daleks????
then find one of the boxes in a store and feel the packs the ones that have a big bit in it you can feel it
you will be feeling the skirt of the dalek so that’s how you know it’s a dalek
there are 5 daleks in a box so you can army biuld.

Friend of the Ood – they may not have them in stock yet but there is a Forbidden Planet in Dublin (5-6 Crampton Quay) which should be getting them (they’ve certainly had the Series 1 & 2 mini-figures in the past)!

In the shops by me they are on the counter, but the people who work in the shops help me feel them and help me find out what they are! I suppose it gives them something to do, sometimes they open them and if you don’t want that figure they will just have a display of open ones and you can choose which you want!

That poll for how you collect figures dosent have a ‘feel the packets and never get doubles’ answer. Its so easy to tell these apart. The only doubles i have ever got from cb accidently are NT Amy, when looking for the police amy. And when i mixed up amy with restac.

In the past when I have had the time I too have spent time successfully feeling packets. Buy a Dalek and its red, go back, but another Dalek and luckily it its blue) However there are drawbacks:-
a) fewer shops are selling them these days
b) having the time to do it
c) most importantly of all is that such activity does attract the attention of store detectives…
…for this reason or because of theft or likelihood of theft one supermarket even put each packet into a plastic container only unlockable at the till.

Probably will be difficult to pick up from stores. Wilkinsons (near me) no longer sells anything Doctor Who. John Lewis’s near me are still trying to lose series 1 and 2 figures. Asda only has one Who item (Cleric Wars) and Sainsburys has nothing, the same with Tesco. FP did not have the S3 figures today.
It is becoming quite a challenge getting things…
