Are the glasses molded on or can you just cut them off?

Yeah, but the single release version doesn’t have glasses so it’s nice to get a variant rather than having the exact same head.

It’s a shame they didn’t swap the Zygon for a War Doctor release! It would have sold out SERIOUSLY quick!

I’m gonna give this set a miss. it’s just a set of variants! Why did they feel the need to release this? I don’t get it.

okay, the 10th doctor looks good, but for the other two…they look awful. why not ditch the zygon for a war doctor figure? or even better, RELEASE THIS IN 5″!

It wasn’t ‘leaked’. The guy who makes these put it on his Twitter intentionally.

Oh dear, the Smith face sculpt is the best it has been in years – but they really messed up with the hair. There should be no visible fringe, as it was in the episode. Oh dear. Thank god I don’t collect these figures.

Not exactly what I would expect but not really so detailed. Still, it’s really for children aged between 5 to 11. You can compare them with the old Dapol figures that they do lack of details. I better say no more and leave to you guys and see what you think.

they are nothing like the Dapol, regardless of what people might think of the 3.75* they are streaks ahead and their is no comparison.

      October 29th, 2014 - 11:38pm

Yes CO trump Dapol majorly! Dapol just failed with scale, and some figures just looked really strange. These are miles better.

    • Balakin

      October 29th, 2014 - 11:59pm

I think the biggest problem is their scale, and no, not because they are not 5″ but because only the tallest of the bunch is really 3,75″.
I have yet to pick up most of these but Amy has really nice detail and the 10th Doctor looked good in the packiging too when I saw it in TRU. They are not perfect but getting better.
Pictures don’t do justice for these. It’s like you draw something small then project it on a wall and it looks bad because it not meant to be seen in that size.

I don’t think they should Carry on making these they should make the figures like they use to but guess it is cheaper for them to make

Is the face sculpt on Matt different? Because it looks FAB! It looks really good. Hopefully they can do another series 7b 11th doctor with this face and the hair. And also, that zygon looks like he is wearing too much eye make-up. Lol. Might get this.

    . 3.75″ Wave 1 & 3 figures
    . Union Jack Dalek
    . Asylum 12″ dalek
. asylum of the daleks set
    . New Dalek collectors set’s
    . Some CB stuff

This looks so good. Again, I wish I had a Toys R’ Us nearby 🙁
So are the 3.75″ makers focusing on Toys R’ Us being its main sellers or is it just that Toys R’ Us get it first (as I hope it becomes more widely available).

Finally! I never got round to buying the Zygon figure, and Tennant without a coat looks fantastic, and Matt’s head ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE MATT so I’ll be getting this!! I’d love to see a War Doctor figure though! and I’d LOVE a Billie Piper as the Moment action figure, but I doubt we’ll ever see that! But yeah, this set is a yes from me lol

      October 29th, 2014 - 4:26pm

I think my local Toys R Us is giving up on Doctor Who merchandise. A few years ago, they had an entire aisle devoted to Doctor Who and even had another shelf stacked full of Doctor Who toys near the entrance with recordings from the show being played. Nowadays, the only Doctor Who toys they sell are the Cybermat figures and some old 3.75 inch figures.

    • Balakin

      October 29th, 2014 - 4:34pm

Yeah, similar situation in Dundee. I was at my local TRU the first time a few weeks ago. The DW section looked a bit sad. Dalek patrolships, Union Jack Daleks, Potato head Doctors, 6th and 2nd Doctor+ Dalek sets, and some older 3,75 figures. So basically some leftover. Next to it a huuuuuge section of wrestling merch. I guess that’s the hot stuff right now.
Oh and a lonely 11 Doctors microfigure box set a few rows away.
I left pretty dissapointed then waited an hour in the bone chilling wind because some idiot misslabelled the bus stops -_-‘

      October 29th, 2014 - 5:11pm

I think I can go one step better. I went Blackpool for two weeks as a birthday treat and on my actual birthday, me and my friends went to Pleasure Beach and when we left, we got to our bus stop and waited and waited for our bus, only to be told by a passer by that on weekends the bus service doesn’t run as much because of the lights. We spent half an hour looking for a bus stop that was in use and waited over two hours for the next bus to come and didn’t get back to our caravan until midnight. We left Pleasure Beach at 6:30pm.

It looks like 10th’s Sonic has been painted upside down! The four arches leading to the light lead to the black nib tip instead. The black and blue need to be swapped!

Its not upside down , you just cant see the bottom cap because of the packaging

    • The Master

      October 29th, 2014 - 3:31pm

Anon, there is blue on the end-cap and black on the emitter end. That means the sonic is painted upside down. They’ve been doing this since the first release of the Tenth Doctor.

I actually prefer these. Of course it’s subjective but this way I won’t have the same figures in 2 different scales (I have the brown coat 10 and the regular tweed 11 in 5″). And you can’t call it just a repackage either.
