By his own admission, the Eleventh Doctor is a genius and a madman. He has the same sparking intelligence as his predecessors but it seems to be firing in every direction at once.

He has the curious innocence of a child mixed with the ancient wisdom of the centuries, and leaves everyone around him racing to keep up. He can seem clumsy and chaotic but only a foolish enemy would underestimate him. As always he has a powerful sense of right and wrong and a determination to do what’s right.

Really was looking forward to this but as the doctor isn’t massively great and the grey on the dalek needs to be more silver and the fender and that the back pice gas. Not been changed I’m not so sure now

Odd question for anybody to answer but if they do a 12 doctors set late next year will it be in 5inch or 3.75inch? I’m hoping its 5inch so there’s a possibility of getting a series 7b doctor or snowman outfit.

the 5 inch line I s completely dead

so if they do probably 3.75

      August 25th, 2013 - 2:58pm

Uh, no it’s not. Anything from before Series 7 is 5″. It’s certainly not “completely dead”.

      August 26th, 2013 - 10:03am

yeah but on twitter delware said it is dying so less classic will come out

so Imagine sooner of later it will be completely dead

    • booboo

      August 26th, 2013 - 10:26am

not dead yet, may be there will be a spark later next year

i dont know what the UT – FP relationship is but its clear Underground Toys are concentrating purely on the USA (and Australian) marked at the moment with numerous re releases some of which were never available in those countries previously

      August 25th, 2013 - 10:00am

Booboo’s right. Al Dewar, head of the Doctor Who department at CO (I think) has said in a debate with someone that no 5″ Clara figures will be released.

    • Dominic Kane

      August 25th, 2013 - 12:50pm

oh shame they wont do a 5 inch clara that loads of people would probably buy 🙁

    • Dominic Kane

      August 25th, 2013 - 1:00pm

but why cant they do just 1 more figure just one! (not litruly)

    • booboo

      August 25th, 2013 - 1:04pm

3.75″ is the line now and a 5″ version would take away sales making both un-viable.

Looks like even the classics are grinding to a halt bar variant sets which may have a strong future

i’m not convinced there will not be a 5″ 12th Doctor as if they ever manage a mass market doctor set again it will need to include that figure.

What about all the variants in the past (excluding the inaccurate Fez Doctor and wrong-bow-tie-coloured Stetson Doctor)?

    • That Random Whovian

      August 25th, 2013 - 10:29am

Well yeah, I don’t mean there’s never been one, but especially throughout Series 6 they were really lazy with things like bow tie colours (not only the Stetson figure, the bearded one in tweed jacket too). Also, things like quality control let a lot of the figures down. Wrong jacket colours, horribly painted shirts, etc… And what was inaccurate about the Fez Doctor? He’s quite possibly my most treasured Eleventh Doctor figure yet!

    • That Random Whovian

      August 25th, 2013 - 10:33am

I do also mean PROPERLY screen-accurate, correct shirt/bow tie combinations included. Another figure that doesn’t fall under that category is the Doctor from A Christmas Carol. The Doctor as shown in the photo above appears to be an entirely screen-accurate represenation of his costume from Asylum of the Daleks 🙂

    • Sam Bentley

      August 23rd, 2013 - 4:11pm

It was lighter in Victory of the Daleks and more metallic and dark in Asylum of the Daleks. So if anything I think this could do with being a bit darker.

    • booboo

      August 23rd, 2013 - 4:14pm

probably the flash, tends to over brighten things

    • A New Dalek Paradigm

      August 23rd, 2013 - 8:07pm

I’m hoping the Strategist is a darker blue than the image would suggest. Just need a metallic Drone now.

    • booboo

      August 23rd, 2013 - 8:08pm

think it is, the flash has over done it here which it often does

    • doctorpond393

      August 24th, 2013 - 9:33am

But it isn’t using a flash. The plastic window is on the packaging so if it was taken with flash there would be a massive reflection, wouldn’t there?

    • booboo

      August 24th, 2013 - 9:48am

(and for those of you who want a metallic FATlek, it may not be possible because this wave has no resculpts and the metallic FATleks had no hump. Then again, they could just chop it off, that wouldn’t cost much ? 😆 )

    • DoctorArkham

      August 24th, 2013 - 8:51pm

The 11th Doctor is a new variant. He has a dark brown coat, a plain white shirt and a blue bow tie- like the original prototype for the White Shirt Series 6 variant. It seems his hair is a lighter brown, but don’t forget this is only prototype stage also.

    • A New Dalek Paradigm

      May 2nd, 2013 - 3:40pm

The backs on the toys released in 2010 were never accurate to the Victory Paradigm anyway. In fact in that regards I’d say the toys are more accurate to how they appeared in Asylum. The hump is definitely not as noticeable on the toys compared to the original 2010 props. It’s the over sized eye that I’d really like them to fix for the TRU set.
