July 1st, 2013 - 3:25pmIm going to subscribe to the premium subscription. But I think I will choose the option to not get the extra display plinths and binders. As the display plinths are another 14.99 ever 10 issues and the binder is 6.99 every 16 issues. And the premium subscription is already expensive enough.
Jamie
July 1st, 2013 - 3:36pmI subscribed for the premium subscription but after I ordered it said I had a standard subscription?! So I phoned up and at first the girl told me it wasn’t even up and running yet. But I told her that wasn’t right as I just subscribed on the website! She then said the information of my subscription wouldn’t be on there system for 24 hours! so I have to phone back tomorrow! Annoying!
Jamie
July 1st, 2013 - 3:59pmHave you subscribed Booboo?
booboo
July 1st, 2013 - 4:01pmi subscribed month ago with the test launch but have had no communication from them despite emailing them , just sent them an email again to see if we have to subscribe again
Jamie
July 1st, 2013 - 4:09pmThat does not fill me with confidence.I need to phone them tomorrow to change my subscription to the one I actually ordered. Ad the confirmation emails says standard instead of premium. I hope they run things better when the magazine is actually running.
booboo
July 1st, 2013 - 4:14pmI’m sure they will sort it out for you
Radburn
July 1st, 2013 - 7:44pmIf I did not want the extra Daleks so badly I would not subscribe. This is a perfect example of the way this dire company works (Why Eaglemoss have employed them to Distribute the magazine I have no idea?)
HalfPintOfInnes
July 1st, 2013 - 3:25pmThat’s me just subscribed…well “Pre-ordered” it…can’t wait to start collecting these, been waiting for something like this to start up for a good long while so finally glad it’s happened. I’ve opted in to everything available so will be getting the stands, folders, the Daleks, and the emperor so I’m looking forward to getting all these! Does anyone know how often we get a Dalek figure? Cause I really like the look of them and can’t wait to get one, but just hope these figures are really well protected in the post, that’s my only concern.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
July 1st, 2013 - 3:07pmFinally. Started to wonder if we’d ever find out when this was going to be sold publicly throughout the UK.
I take it you can only get the awesome Emperor Dalek if you subscribe to the site ?.
If so, that’s a real pity for anyone like me who are just going to buy issues that focus on particular favorites, such as for myself –
The 3rd Doctor
Davros
Daleks
Cybermen
Time Lords
Really annoys me old Character Options never produced a playset version of the Emperor Dalek from the new series. It would surely
booboo
July 1st, 2013 - 3:08pmEmperor Dalek is only available to subscribers as are The Daleks with an upgrade
DOCTOR WHO ONE
July 1st, 2013 - 3:09pmhave been in scale with the 5inch figures, and be roughly the same size as the 2006 electronic Tardis playset I reckon.
cjayp33
July 1st, 2013 - 3:35pmOn other collections Eaglemoss have told people, that you can can subscribe to get the free gifts, then unsubcribe and pick the issues you want. You still get to keep the free gifts. So you may be able to do this Doctor Who One.
Radburn
July 2nd, 2013 - 6:30am…but Callum we are talking the Database Factory here! They can’t even organise a proper subscription correctly – They certainly won’t be able to manage a pick & choose approach…

April 21st, 2013 - 9:39amIs there a way you can get a discount from this issue?
DavidH
April 13th, 2013 - 5:49pmBooboo, if this does get a full release, did they say after how many deliveries you get the Dalek Emperor?
booboo
April 13th, 2013 - 6:50pm3rd delivery so technically issue 5
1-2 folder
3-4 stand
5-6 Emperor
DavidH
April 13th, 2013 - 6:53pmOkay, thanks 🙂
Haza14
July 2nd, 2013 - 2:01pmI really like these! I already have issues 1 to 5 though from the test run so do you know if it is possible to get the Dalek Emperor from subscribing after issue 5 and how or if that would work?
The Driver
April 11th, 2013 - 6:44pmCan you buy old issues?
DJHarrington
April 2nd, 2013 - 8:20pm… and your bank details. I have done this for myself today and I should know within 3 days if it has worked. I live in Tewkesbury and I really want to start collecting this so if you live outside the area then give it a try 🙂
booboo
April 2nd, 2013 - 8:24pmWe had conformation about a month ago, got issue one but have yet to receive anything else
Bow Tie wearing Stranger
April 3rd, 2013 - 4:17pmSo, has anyone received anything by subscription yet?
Or is it still via local shops and newsagents in the test area that the lucky few are actually getting sight of them.
I think perhaps that dbfactory/Eaglemoss may have severely underestimated the level of interest.
booboo
April 3rd, 2013 - 4:24pmI have had issue 1 but it didn’t come with anything
DJHarrington
April 2nd, 2013 - 8:18pmHey, like many people who does not live in the test areas I really would like to get my hands on this collection, even if this is only the test run . To subscribe to the collection you have to enter your postcode on the website. If you enter your postcode and you are living outside the test area then you will get sent to a page saying you cannot subscribe. However, if you enter in a postcode which is inside the test area it redirects you to a different page which allows you to enter in your details. This time enter in YOUR postcode …
DJHarrington
April 2nd, 2013 - 8:26pmI was just sharing this in case there are people who were unaware of this method, like myself 🙂
booboo
April 2nd, 2013 - 8:29pmthat’s fine, although it would be nice to know what’s happening with the subscriptions a on one seems to be getting anything
cjayp33
March 8th, 2013 - 5:57pmI had a look at the next time in part 3 page and its says more doctor who in 1964 which means that it may not be a issue per year as some have speculated so some years might take multiple issues to complete/cover, based on this info.
Anonymous
March 8th, 2013 - 9:07pmMakes sense, they’d need something to keep the feature going on for a while otherwise you’d have to think up something new at issue 53 (as 2016 wouldn’t have arrived yet).
drjakeyoung
March 8th, 2013 - 5:56pmcant believe those images are just mock ups.

March 8th, 2013 - 5:53pmissue 2 is the shops of the test area, so should be in the shop where you got issue 1. I know this as I saw issue 2 in the whsmiths where I live which is where I got issue 1 from.

March 6th, 2013 - 5:15pmWow! But how much does it cost?

March 6th, 2013 - 10:03pmif you read the story you would know lol

March 4th, 2013 - 11:11pmHi..does anyone know if you subscribe late if you still get all the ‘extras’. I’ve managed to get my hands on issues 1 and 2 but have not yet subscribed…wondering if I’m too late…?
booboo
March 4th, 2013 - 11:34pmi’m sure you can subscribe any time and still get the gifts
Anonymous
March 7th, 2013 - 8:04pmNormally the “extras” aren’t sent out during the test run. For them you need to wait for the full nationwide release.
booboo
March 7th, 2013 - 8:09pmThe monster invasions extras were
People are due the binder with issues 2-3 and the stand with 4-5 so i think there will be a few upset people if they get nothing, however i can see them stalling at the Dalek emperor.
The vast majority of subscribers wont know this is a test
Anonymous
March 7th, 2013 - 8:23pmIt will depend who is making it. If I remember rightly some people got a bit wound up with Eaglemoss because they didn’t send anything out with their Star Trek starship collection during its test run.
booboo
March 7th, 2013 - 8:24pmsoon find out, i have had issue one so if nothing turns up with issues 2-3 we will know.
TheMadManWithABox1
February 28th, 2013 - 7:27pmJust brought issue 2 I will send images on mon as I’m busy over the weekend
booboo
February 28th, 2013 - 7:46pmyes i see its out, was hoping some subs copies might be arriving by now, what does Davros look like in hand?
TheMadManWithABox1
March 1st, 2013 - 5:36pmExcellent much better then the doctor
Daff
March 4th, 2013 - 12:13pmI got my subscription today but only got issue 1 and didn’t get my free binder is their only 5 issues planned for the test phase? it looks like that from all the information in the magazine..
booboo
March 4th, 2013 - 12:14pmsame here. just issue 1, i suspect we will get issue 2 and 3 and the binder all together before to long
cjayp33
March 4th, 2013 - 1:26pmI suspect its to make subscriptions easier and fair so that we all get the same 2 issues at the same time. There will be a lot of people like me who subscribed from issue 2 (as bought issue 1 from the shops and did not feel the need to get another issue 1) and therefore if they sent out two issues at a time people like me would be 1 issue ahead as we would get issues 2/3 while you guys get issues 1/2
as for the free gifts this is a test version so I am thinking perhaps we will not get all if any of the free gifts until it goes national.
booboo
March 4th, 2013 - 1:29pmthe other side is that its annoying that issue 2 is already in the shops and so could issue 3 be before we get them
cjayp33
March 4th, 2013 - 1:48pmThats true, if you want it badly you can get issue 2 in the shops now, but then you will have two copies and paid for it twice.
booboo
March 4th, 2013 - 1:50pmyes, obviously we want to get issue 2 on the site as its out so its frustrating, hopefully they will send 2 and 3 quite soon.
Daff
March 4th, 2013 - 5:22pmi would imagine issues 2/3 will be sent out together in a fortnight when issue 3 is in the shops which is common with most subscriptions but i don’t think its fair really as subscribers we should get it first 😛
booboo
March 4th, 2013 - 6:12pmi though that was the whole point of subscribing
Anonymous
March 4th, 2013 - 5:40pmGiven how they treat the DVD Files it will probablly come out a while after issue 3 does.
ROSS
February 26th, 2013 - 8:01pmAre they the same size as cmfc or dc superhero?
i hope so ……………….
ROSS
February 26th, 2013 - 11:46amI wants them now !!!!!!!!!

February 24th, 2013 - 11:21pmI wonder what would happen if the range got extended, would those who are on the premium subscription be made to pay for longer? If so would the later Daleks get pushed back to keep them on, or would more exclusives get brought out?
DWChris
February 24th, 2013 - 8:15pmIs the dalek set just an extra pound per dalek you get e.g £8 total or an extra pound per issue, regardless if you get a special dalek with that issue?
Anonymous
February 24th, 2013 - 9:10pmExtra pound per issue.
Anonymous
February 23rd, 2013 - 10:52amWonder if these are compatible with 3.75 figures?
Anonymous
February 23rd, 2013 - 9:38pmThese are slightly smaller, but you could get away with it.
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 9:09pmi thought that was a movie dalek on the chase dalek, the chase dalek had no base or dome lights?
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 9:10pmand it had no claw (that i am aware off)
booboo
February 19th, 2013 - 9:11pmyes, not sure how they are getting away with that one, different licence
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 9:13pmI was going to say that! They have nothing to do with the BBC! (Maybe they are trying to pass it off as a chase dalek to avoid the licensing?)
booboo
February 19th, 2013 - 9:14pmnot sure but give me a Peter Cushing and Movie Dalek figure 5″ set anyday
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 9:16pmlol that and a 60s emperor dalek set would be a dream!

February 19th, 2013 - 9:17pmemperor dalek (2nd Doctor) is at the top of many peoples lists but there doesn’t seem to be much sign of it

February 19th, 2013 - 8:58pmBooBoo I know it’s got nothing to do with this but FP.com have the B&M Rereleased Ages of Steel and Dalek Collector’s Set #2 Sets.

February 19th, 2013 - 9:00pmyes seen them, dont know what’s behind that though

February 19th, 2013 - 9:04pmOk thanks because I’ve spent years trying to track down The Dalek Collector’s Set #2 Set and have never found it and couldn’t possibly spend £50 on Ebay.
booboo
February 19th, 2013 - 9:05pmdo you not have a b&m near you they are £12.99?
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 9:06pmthey do it on e-bay for £19:99!
WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby
February 19th, 2013 - 9:09pmI have one near me but at the time these were rereleased in B&M Stores they didn’t have it or the Ages of Steel Set in my local store.
WouldYouLikeAJellyBaby
February 19th, 2013 - 9:11pmdrjakeyoung I know but I don’t trust Ebay and didn’t want to pay out £50 to find that all the eyestalks were bent in the packaging or that they’d been damaged.
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 9:14pmfair enough, don’t really trust e-bay myself. Plus all the hidden charges and all.
eddy
February 21st, 2013 - 1:17amthe difference is the gold dalek has got different shaped lights, before they were just rounded, but now have been updated where they are swirled as they were in the epsiode, paper ties instead of plastic bendy ties, very small changes, bit pointless really, they use to be £80 – £200 now they are £5 – £30
The Monitor
February 22nd, 2013 - 3:21pmI have visited my local B&M about 12 times since the Age of Steel set came out and never seen it there. Interestingly it has now appeared on the FP website for £20 so wondering if it is the same one.
Doctor Stu
February 19th, 2013 - 8:25pmWith a subscription do you need to pay for a year up front or do you pay as you go along?
booboo
February 19th, 2013 - 8:54pmno you pay every 4 weeks for 2 issues (which are usually delivered together)
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 8:59pmbooboo, whats that mad throne room dalek?

February 19th, 2013 - 9:01pmEmperor Guard for evil of the Daleks
drjakeyoung
February 19th, 2013 - 9:05pmis that by any chance the wilkie dalek? (the dalek that the rear skirt panel has only a single vertical line of hemispheres down the middle and is very thinner compared to other daleks.)
Anonymous
February 20th, 2013 - 11:11pmNo, it was a reconstruction made for the Doctor Who Experience that was later dusted up and used in Asylum of the Daleks (which is what the figure is based on).
eddy
February 19th, 2013 - 5:19pmthere are quite a few on ebay now, from 99p – £9.99

February 18th, 2013 - 8:53pmShame that Lancashire isn’t in the test area 🙁
Will it be available eventually? I really want that dalek emperor, and a few of the other special edition daleks that you can only get by subscribing
Anonymous
February 19th, 2013 - 4:46pmYes they will be available elsewhere when in launches nationally later this year (sometime from September onwards).
daleksean
February 18th, 2013 - 5:58pmim confused are these figures in the magazine real ones that you can get in real life or not if so the emperer dalek would be cool to have
daleksean
February 18th, 2013 - 6:05pmalso can you get the magazine in newsagents
Anonymous
February 18th, 2013 - 7:40pmYes the figures are all real and you can get them from the newsagents, except for the subscriber ones (including the Emperor, which is at half the scale but if this version costs £30 imagine what the correct one would cost).

Planet Dalek
February 18th, 2013 - 9:18amI know!
cjayp33
February 18th, 2013 - 2:07pmThats not counting the special editions they may do which you get a reduced subscribers rate. Then there are the additional binders you will get at £6.99 (i assume that although they come automatically you have to pay after the first one you get free)plus the additional display stands you receive(as although they come automatically I assume you have to pay for them after the first free which cost £14.99 each and they only hold 10 figures.
So you are looking at around at £50 on top for the additional binders/display stands which you will need
Anonymous
February 18th, 2013 - 3:49pmThese collections don’t really tend to send out any more stands, binders are normally sent out though (but covered by cost I believe).

February 18th, 2013 - 4:48pmhow do u know there will be 48 issues
Anonymous
February 18th, 2013 - 4:57pmNobody knows how many issues there will be. Booboo’s figure is a prediction assuming it will last two years (which is actually 52 issues, but everyone makes mistakes).

February 17th, 2013 - 8:40amthere is 50 coz if u noticed in issue 1 it says looking at 1963 then in number 2 is 1964 then the 3rd 1 is 1965 all the way 2013 which is 50.
Anonymous
February 17th, 2013 - 11:06amDoesn’t really work like that, by the time you’ve gotten through all those issues it will be 2015 so that’s another two years to add on top of it (which also convienetly makes it up to the standard number of issues that the BBC commisions partworks to).
They could always change the magazine as well to have different features if they want to extend it.
