In Timelord 22’s list I wonder what they mean by classic cybermen ? Tomb version ? Wheel In Space ? Or all of the Troughton versions ? If that’s the case it seems a shame that the revenge and silver nemesis variants aren’t included. Will they be including the Tomb Cybercontroller ? How about the 6ths Doctor version too ??

There’s a picture of a Tomb Cyberman, so that’s definitely one they’re considering.

Wonder if there’s any chance of ’em following this up with a ‘who vehicles set’ – akin to the Batmobile series theyre doing. I was always disappointed no space craft from the ‘classic series’ were released after the rather detailed new series set which included the slitheen ship.

Could include space craft and cars and maybe even a set of console replicas…..

There is a questionnaire included, and it appears that they are considering doing companions. One question is ‘Pick five characters from the list below you would like to collect as figurines’, and two of the options are Rose and Captain Jack. (Ood and Vashta Nerada are also included!) and another question is ‘If we were to add 10 figurines to the collection which of the below would you rather have: More monsters OR selected companions?’

    They are considering it…

And its a shame everyone keeps clear of the Kandyman one of the more innovative creation of the mccoy era….

I got this from my newsagent today and I live in Wiltshire. I had worries about the likeness based on the pictures I’d seen for the 11th Doctor, but in hand I must say it is pretty good. The figure is brilliantly detailed and painted very well- impressive for something done by hand. The quality is very good; up there with Eaglemoss’ DC Chess Collection. The magazine is also fantastic; very detailed! The collection as a whole looks good, and while I didn’t think I would, I am going to subscribe when the proper collection comes out.

      September – January

They do a test area to gauge demand to see how many to produce when it goes national, tey have done this withh alll part works

Disadvantage if you subscribe now is that when they get so far they effectively start again with the full releases and you have to wait sometimes months to catch up

They sometimes also change the order of things, with Monster Invasion there was new ultimate card and the test release one is now worth a fortune

Doctors and aliens only please… don’t bog the set down with a lot of companions which look nothing like. And to be fair Id say classic one issue, new series the next. Maybe some of the aliens no one has bothered with – like the Menoptera, Zarbi, Monoids, Krotons Dominators and Quarks etc. I suspect this series may run and run and reckon Im going to be knocking on a bit before it’s end. The rate its going Im going to be aging before the first issue is in my area.

    February 15th, 2013 - 9:48pm

I would subscribe, but only if the figures were painted to a better standard, but since this is the test issues, I would hope that changes were made, hence why they test them, and sort out paint applications and detail, as Davrsmlooks like he could be on a toothpaste advert or something, and the 11th Doctor looks a bit shoddy, but the other figures look superb. So I’m going to wait and see and judge when they come out for national release as I could see this doing really well if they add in more Classic figures and worked on the painting!

Just be aware though that the premium subscription Daleks are sent “in 8 different shipments over the lifetime of the collection”, so to get all 7 and the base you’ll most likely have to stick with it for the entire collection. I’m guessing the final Dalek will probably come with the very last issue.
