Im going to subscribe to the premium subscription. But I think I will choose the option to not get the extra display plinths and binders. As the display plinths are another 14.99 ever 10 issues and the binder is 6.99 every 16 issues. And the premium subscription is already expensive enough.

I subscribed for the premium subscription but after I ordered it said I had a standard subscription?! So I phoned up and at first the girl told me it wasn’t even up and running yet. But I told her that wasn’t right as I just subscribed on the website! She then said the information of my subscription wouldn’t be on there system for 24 hours! so I have to phone back tomorrow! Annoying!

That does not fill me with confidence.I need to phone them tomorrow to change my subscription to the one I actually ordered. Ad the confirmation emails says standard instead of premium. I hope they run things better when the magazine is actually running.

If I did not want the extra Daleks so badly I would not subscribe. This is a perfect example of the way this dire company works (Why Eaglemoss have employed them to Distribute the magazine I have no idea?)

That’s me just subscribed…well “Pre-ordered” it…can’t wait to start collecting these, been waiting for something like this to start up for a good long while so finally glad it’s happened. I’ve opted in to everything available so will be getting the stands, folders, the Daleks, and the emperor so I’m looking forward to getting all these! Does anyone know how often we get a Dalek figure? Cause I really like the look of them and can’t wait to get one, but just hope these figures are really well protected in the post, that’s my only concern.

Finally. Started to wonder if we’d ever find out when this was going to be sold publicly throughout the UK.

I take it you can only get the awesome Emperor Dalek if you subscribe to the site ?.

If so, that’s a real pity for anyone like me who are just going to buy issues that focus on particular favorites, such as for myself –

    The 3rd Doctor
    Davros
    Daleks
    Cybermen
    Time Lords

Really annoys me old Character Options never produced a playset version of the Emperor Dalek from the new series. It would surely

On other collections Eaglemoss have told people, that you can can subscribe to get the free gifts, then unsubcribe and pick the issues you want. You still get to keep the free gifts. So you may be able to do this Doctor Who One.

      July 2nd, 2013 - 6:30am

…but Callum we are talking the Database Factory here! They can’t even organise a proper subscription correctly – They certainly won’t be able to manage a pick & choose approach…

So, has anyone received anything by subscription yet?

Or is it still via local shops and newsagents in the test area that the lucky few are actually getting sight of them.

I think perhaps that dbfactory/Eaglemoss may have severely underestimated the level of interest.

Hey, like many people who does not live in the test areas I really would like to get my hands on this collection, even if this is only the test run . To subscribe to the collection you have to enter your postcode on the website. If you enter your postcode and you are living outside the test area then you will get sent to a page saying you cannot subscribe. However, if you enter in a postcode which is inside the test area it redirects you to a different page which allows you to enter in your details. This time enter in YOUR postcode …

I had a look at the next time in part 3 page and its says more doctor who in 1964 which means that it may not be a issue per year as some have speculated so some years might take multiple issues to complete/cover, based on this info.

Makes sense, they’d need something to keep the feature going on for a while otherwise you’d have to think up something new at issue 53 (as 2016 wouldn’t have arrived yet).

      March 7th, 2013 - 8:09pm

      The monster invasions extras were

People are due the binder with issues 2-3 and the stand with 4-5 so i think there will be a few upset people if they get nothing, however i can see them stalling at the Dalek emperor.

The vast majority of subscribers wont know this is a test

    • Anonymous

      March 7th, 2013 - 8:23pm

It will depend who is making it. If I remember rightly some people got a bit wound up with Eaglemoss because they didn’t send anything out with their Star Trek starship collection during its test run.

I got my subscription today but only got issue 1 and didn’t get my free binder is their only 5 issues planned for the test phase? it looks like that from all the information in the magazine..

    • booboo

      March 4th, 2013 - 12:14pm

same here. just issue 1, i suspect we will get issue 2 and 3 and the binder all together before to long

    • cjayp33

      March 4th, 2013 - 1:26pm

I suspect its to make subscriptions easier and fair so that we all get the same 2 issues at the same time. There will be a lot of people like me who subscribed from issue 2 (as bought issue 1 from the shops and did not feel the need to get another issue 1) and therefore if they sent out two issues at a time people like me would be 1 issue ahead as we would get issues 2/3 while you guys get issues 1/2

as for the free gifts this is a test version so I am thinking perhaps we will not get all if any of the free gifts until it goes national.

    • booboo

      March 4th, 2013 - 1:29pm

the other side is that its annoying that issue 2 is already in the shops and so could issue 3 be before we get them

    • cjayp33

      March 4th, 2013 - 1:48pm

Thats true, if you want it badly you can get issue 2 in the shops now, but then you will have two copies and paid for it twice.

    • booboo

      March 4th, 2013 - 1:50pm

yes, obviously we want to get issue 2 on the site as its out so its frustrating, hopefully they will send 2 and 3 quite soon.

    • Daff

      March 4th, 2013 - 5:22pm

i would imagine issues 2/3 will be sent out together in a fortnight when issue 3 is in the shops which is common with most subscriptions but i don’t think its fair really as subscribers we should get it first 😛

    • booboo

      March 4th, 2013 - 6:12pm

the difference is the gold dalek has got different shaped lights, before they were just rounded, but now have been updated where they are swirled as they were in the epsiode, paper ties instead of plastic bendy ties, very small changes, bit pointless really, they use to be £80 – £200 now they are £5 – £30

Thats not counting the special editions they may do which you get a reduced subscribers rate. Then there are the additional binders you will get at £6.99 (i assume that although they come automatically you have to pay after the first one you get free)plus the additional display stands you receive(as although they come automatically I assume you have to pay for them after the first free which cost £14.99 each and they only hold 10 figures.

So you are looking at around at £50 on top for the additional binders/display stands which you will need

    • Anonymous

Doesn’t really work like that, by the time you’ve gotten through all those issues it will be 2015 so that’s another two years to add on top of it (which also convienetly makes it up to the standard number of issues that the BBC commisions partworks to).

They could always change the magazine as well to have different features if they want to extend it.
