ultimate Doctor Who collectable 12-inch Dalek has been produced exclusively in Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary year. Beautifully displayed in the Union Flag, it celebrates the Daleks as a British icon and is ideal gift for all Doctor Who fans. This limited edition freewheeling Dalek features poseable arm, head and eye while us having the ability to voice 10 Dalek phrases with lights and sound FX.

12-inch-union-jack-dalek

The Daleks were created by the Kaled scientist, Davros as travel machines. Davros had deduced that the years of radiation and chemical poisoning from an ongoing war would lead his race to mutate into immobile organisms. The Dalek travel machines would house these creatures and allow the Kaleds to survive.

In the course of his experiments however, Davros deliberately removed what he considered to be debilitating emotions from the mutants and a force of evil was spawned!

Suitable for ages 5 years and over it will be a must have for the many generations of fans that the Timelord has gained in the past 5 decades.

The thing is, a Union Jack Dalek actually translates to British Icon.

Okay, maybe it’s not a direct translation, but it makes sense all the same!

Would be funny if they did re-working of the ‘God save the Queen’ lyrics –

God save our gracious Emperor Dalek!
Long live our noble Emperor Dalek!
    God save the Emperor Dalek!
    Send him victorious,
    Deadly and glorious,
Long to rule supreme over us:
    God save The Emperor Dalek!

    • Trenzalore

      July 11th, 2013 - 7:24pm

I think that he union jack is a good thing; its a british programme that we are all proud of and we want to celebrate that fact anyway what’s better boring bronze of exiting red white and blue?

      July 11th, 2013 - 8:14pm

i love England and Dr who

    • Matt Smithy

      July 11th, 2013 - 8:49pm

I understand the hole iconicness thing, but I just think if they were going to do something like this, make it a bit more subtle. I would have made it a bit more representative of the show itself, and maybe done a “victory of the daleks” with the union jack (but to be perfectly honest I think the 2013 in the ID tag looks pretty good). I just think all the blues and reds are too much. What they could have done is make a dalek, but at different points it “morphs” into other daleks from the history. with a 2005 head, paradigm neck, classic skirt..

    • Da Big Friendly Button

      July 11th, 2013 - 8:56pm

The reason why the union jack is used on the Dalek is because Doctor who is made in britain and the daleks were also designed by ray cusick who is british and the Daleks are seen as British icon.

    • Trenzalore

      July 11th, 2013 - 9:00pm

no, I think it would look a bit of a mess with all the daleks mixed together

    • Matt Smithy

      July 11th, 2013 - 10:26pm

yea, that was my main worry, it would be a bit of a mess. And big friendly button, I know they are British, and Ray Cusick is British, but I highly doubt that’s why they did that. While I can see why people like it, I do fid it a bit horrible…the red, THE RED!
