November 30th, 2018 - 11:06amOfficially, they are-also, it might be to pad the volumes out, I could tell in the Series 9 books they were struggling for content with some episodes, probably just to finish the collection off on a nice even number. Of course, they could have wrapped Capaldi up early to have more bonus volumes covering the spin-offs, books, etc.

December 3rd, 2018 - 6:15pmThey’re being included as three separate stories because they were separate productions, with different writers, different directors and different filming blocks. Just because there was a narrative that ran through them, doesn’t mean their production history was all in one mass.
