SDCC 2016 New 13 Doctors Figure Set on Show

Its that time of year again with SDCC 2016 about to start
Wednesday saw previews night between 6-9 pm, that’s 2-5am in the morning for people in the UK.
From what we can see nothing new was on show.
It starts on Thursday at 9.30am which is 5.30pm in the UK so no late night waiting for any information.
If anything is on show it should soon become clear.
The only Doctor Who items we know of so far are the 2 Titans, Ghost 12th Doctor and Glitter Tardis, Titan Comics, an electronic 20 questions Tardis, 5.5 “x 7” giant mug and Rory’s Story Cubes.
This year we have noticed the “exclusive” title has been dropped in many cases and replaced with “first to market” which means it is only sold there first.
I suspect all eyes (where Doctor Who is concerned) will be on the Underground Toys Stand where, assuming its on show, something “big” is coming (and no its not the mug)…

July 21st, 2016 - 7:23pmIf UT know their customers and their business they will use this set to release all those kooky variants that may not have huge demand as seperate releases but as a complete set would sell like hot cakes…and they could name their price. Variants like a fur coat 2nd, a highland hat/scarf 4th, a coatless 5th or 6th, a dark eyes 8th, a hologram 9th, a tuxedo 10th, a green coat 11th, a hoodie 12th….a young War Doctor. Alas I think this will be re-releases and repaints…and they will still name their price.

July 21st, 2016 - 7:08pmTo be honest if it is a $150 13 doctor figure set I’m gonna be kind of dissapointed. I already have the 8th and war doctor figures that will probably be in the set. And I obviously already have the 11th and 10th and 9th doctor figures. So I don’t want to be spending that much money on a few figures.

July 21st, 2016 - 7:26pmI hope u have a point booboo, but i’d say that that is the ‘big’ thing. A tardis would be either good, but unprofitable or affordable but of very low quality and a tank would probably confuse many casual buyers as it was really only in the backround for a matter of minutes in one episode. All we can hope for now is like a shed load of new moster figures.

6. Peri Brown (two Doctors repaint)
7. Ace (stripey shirt repaint)

It sort of balances out between new and old scultps…

Pertwee’s definitely the Three Doctors’ variant.
Tom seems to be almost entirely red, so that’s probably the season 18 variant. Wouldn’t be surprised if it had the hat from the Leisure Hive, though.
McCoy is either that same Ghost Light variant or, if we’re lucky, the TV Movie. He’s definitely not wearing the cream jacket or a hat, though, unless they’re interchangeable, which isn’t likely.
McGann could be any of them, but, if I were betting, I’d say it was the Dalek Comic version.
The War Doctor I’m certain is just a re-release.
Smith seems to be in his Series 5 costume, based on the darkness of the tweed, so that’s a re-release.
Capaldi is either the purple version or maybe the red velvet version.

To me it looks like Jon and Tom are at the bottom, then above Pertwee I’m seeing a white shirt Troughton, beside him I’m seeing a 7B Smith and then beside him, I’m seeing a war Doctor.

July 21st, 2016 - 7:21pmThe order in which you’re seeing it doesn’t really make sense, with all due respect. They’d do them in chronological order, so Troughton wouldn’t be there. Anyway, I’m pretty certain it isn’t 7B Smith, as he is wearing a dark green, that cuts off just before his arms end.

July 21st, 2016 - 7:14pmIt’s actually not a bad price at all. $150 shared by 13 figures is only $11.53 per figure. That’s a great price considering they’re usually $20-25 here in the states per figure!

Would love it to include John Hurt but if not WOW anyway!! Presumably it’s all different variants to the last one, even if some are re-releases.

It looks like the figures are arranged in rows of 5, 5, 3 and the descriptions on the doors are arranged 6, 7 making it a 13 Doctors set!!
