In 1999, BBC Books began publishing original Doctor Who novels (featuring the Eighth Doctor) plus original past Doctor adventures. Until 2005, BBC Books published over 100 titles! We talk to Editor Steve Col plus a host of writers about this amazing time … which many feel bridged the gap to the new series of Doctor Who on television in 2005.

March 20th, 2026 - 6:44pmReferring to the new version of Dr Who, Paul McGann Movie, why is it that it’s assumed everyone has got either 4K Blu-Ray
But guess what, some of us peasants have the old DVDs,s even if I changed to a Blu-ray, I could not afford Blu-ray, it’s so much more expensive than DVD.

March 20th, 2026 - 7:58pmSame here, we luddites need to raise or hands and shake our old tech at people! Seriously though I never bought bluray simply because of the prices an because I’m old enough to have bought my collection (film and tv) on vhs first then DVD. I simply can’t warrant buying stuff again. DVD is fine for me and I’m very happy with it. Especially considering all the trouble people seem to have with the bluray collections!
