Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 200 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities host artist performances and events to mark the occasion.
Thousands more shops celebrate the day around the globe in what’s become one of the biggest annual events on the music calendar. The first Record Store Day was officially kicked off by Metallica in San Francisco in 2008 and is now held every third Saturday in April.
Doctor Who – Genesis Of The Daleks
Doctor Who: Genesis of the Daleks A special reissue of an audio Doctor Who adventure, which was originally released in 1978 on BBC Records.
This collector’s edition is released on 180g heavy weight ‘TARDIS blue’ coloured vinyl and is a must-have for all Whovians. The recording was one of the first Doctor Who audio adventures, a condensed soundtrack version of a TV episode with Tom Baker providing bridging narration.
The story unfolds as Doctor Who travels to the desolate planet Skaro to avert the creation of the Daleks.
This highly collectable reissue of one the most dramatic episodes in the show’s history has been recreated with the original BBC Records artwork and accompanying sleeve notes.

“Daleks…! Wherever I have travelled in time and space I have met no deadlier adversary. Their single-minded destructive instinct has terrorised more peoples on more planets than I have time to mention.
As the Tardis was impelled back towards the 20th Century, I did not know that I was about to embark on my most dangerous mission… to find the Daleks and avert their creation for ever!”

April 16th, 2016 - 6:06pmYou were extremely lucky to get the Demon version for £20. It makes no commercial sense whatsoever for a dealer to sell it so cheaply. I queued for 2.5 hours to get it and paid £35 and it sold out by the 13th person in the queue. It is going for £50 on eBay.
