Monster Invasion Extreme – New set details

Doctor Who Monster Invasion Extreme is the second set and contains 180 new cards featuring all the latest monsters, characters and adventures from the series, and includes a new and truly terrifying lenticular infinite card. This brings a combined total of 345 cards.
Its launch coincides with issue 11 on sale 28 September 2011. Further images will be available on that date.
The second tin contains five packs of brand-new Doctor Who Monster Invasion Extreme cards and comes with an exclusive official autograph card featuring Rory’s signature by Arthur Darvill (pictured).
There will also be an official Doctor autograph card which comes free with issue 11 and an official Amy autograph card which is only available to subscribers who opt in to buy one (very limited edition, only about 5,000 being made)

October 7th, 2011 - 9:01amAnybody got the whole set yet? I’m going to collect these slowly because I don’t want too many doubles when buying the magazines. Last time I had a lot of doubles from about issues 5-10. This is becuse I got the box before purchasing these. I have so far got 15 packs of the new set and got about 100 cards already.

October 6th, 2011 - 9:19pmcan anyone please help i subscribe to dr monster invasion for my daughter can not find how to get the signed pond card ive looked at ordering the new collectors tin but nothing is mentioned about this card ? ,i would also like to know if any other parents are feeling annoyed that these rare cards are aimed at collectors and that theres a large possibility children like my daughter who loves dr who and is what dr who is made for will never see them unless we pay large amounts of money for them

Shops do get stocks in advance like DVD’s so they have them ready for the release date but in most cases are told not to sell them until then (under embargo).

September 22nd, 2011 - 4:11pmYou get doctor signed card free with issue 11. You only get the amy card in the subscription tin. And you only get the rory card in tins in the shops. If you ticked the box then you will get the tin. You will get issues 11 and 12 with 3 free packs of cards. But, you may not get it on the date it is out in shops. I think that we will have to wait until after “the wedding of river song” is aired. The DWMI team said they don’t want to give away any “spoilers” to subscribers, so it could come later than expected.

All the sets have extra cards added on top of them (except the Infinite for obvious reasons) so the four extra cards regardless of where they went would mean that the 300th card would be an Advernute.
