Harrop Buckley Miniature Cyberman Bust Edge Sculpture
Available to order from www.robertharrop.com
From ‘Nightmare in Silver’ 2013
“You understand, when I do win, the Cyberiad gets your brains and memories.
All of it.”
It was such a privilege and a truly fantastic opportunity to be given the green light to sculpt an Edge Sculpture style of Cyberman from the classic British Science Fiction series, Doctor Who.
Even better was that the BBC themselves could not have been more enthusiastic for the project with the only caveat being that could it be the new Cyberman variant, which at that time was from the episode ‘A Nightmare in Silver’ which aired in the May of 2013.
I have to say that this is one of my favourite pieces and I am so exceptionally grateful for the response I got with its release which was at the time, a truly experimental risk, creating an artistically styled statement piece rather than a straight copy as such.
I couldn’t have been more flattered by the BBC’S response to the finished clay either. They actually passed the Cyberman based on emailed pictures of the clay sculpture within 12 minutes. This was utterly amazing, and I was literally grinning from ear to ear.
As you are aware we are now offering the original Edge Sculpture Cyberman as a made to order piece as part of our Edge Sculpture Classic Series. Therefore, now only available to order from ourselves directly. This decision was so much preferable to retiring the piece after over 12 years of service and I am relieved that we can still make it for whomever may wish to own one.
Edge Sculpture may well be now beyond 15 years old but as family company we have been making figurines for over 38 years. As Harrop figurines, now Harrop Buckley, we sculpted and manufactured many collectibles representing the very best of British Comic, Television and film from the Beano and Camberwick Green to Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds and Stingray and to most recently Wallace and Gromit and Doctor Who.
With this is mind and after the successful recent launch of the Edge Sculpture Miniature range we have decided to experiment and create a piece that in a sense crosses a boundary. So after a lot of deliberation and discussion with the BBC we are exceptionally happy to announce that we are now launching an Edge Sculpture Cyberman in miniature and making it available for both our Harrop Doctor Who collectors and Edge Sculpture collectors alike.
This new Miniature will be available to order from us directly from both the Harrop Doctor Who Website and also from here the Edge Sculpture Shop site.

July 23rd, 2025 - 2:52pmHi,
I ordered yesterday and it arrived today – a pleasant surprise and I am impressed by the bust.
I have being able to collect every Robert Harrop Dr Who figurine so I didn’t want to miss out and wanted to ensure that my collection is complete.
I couldn’t really justify the expense in purchasing the full size bust so this was the next best thing and will add something different to my collection.

July 23rd, 2025 - 1:23pmTardis Dude. There’s Nothing Wrong with it I Agree. In fact it’s a Fantastic Sculpt as usual by Mike.
But
1) I’ve always been a Figure/ Figurine Man. (Tardis, Tardis Consoles, Sonic Screw Drivers, Cars, Spaceships Etc have Never really Interested Me).
2) When Dan Mentioned it wasn’t going to be a Limited Edition, I was 99.9% Sure we were Finally Getting another Dalek in the Collection, so you can imagine my Surprise.
Still a Gorgeous Sculpt though for those that Collect Busts.
