Figurine Collection Magazine Tardis Console #4 The 12th Doctor
Please note this does not come with the plastic casing as listed on the Eaglemoss site
The Twelfth Incarnation of Doctor brought back the original look of TARDIS console model as the next Special Edition of our Doctor Who Figurine Collection!
The Tardis Console Model: The Twelfth Doctor returns to the look of the original designs. Inspired by recent technologies such as the Hadron Collider, the new console feels more like a computer with six sides and no large clunky panels separating the panels like in the previous two designs. The central time rotor that moves the Tardis is much higher than in the original models as it connects the console with the roof of the console room.
This Tardis Console Model: The Twelfth Doctor, made from a high-quality polyresin, meticulously recreates the console as seen in the Series Eight starring Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor. The model was carefully hand-painted to capture the darker grey colour of the console and every button, switch and panel that brings to life the console that served the Doctor until his reincarnation as Thirteenth Doctor in Series Eleven.
Product Features:
- The console measure approx 16.5 cm tall
- Material: Metallic Resin, carefully produced in 1:21 scale
- Hand-painted for incredible detail
- Great gift for Doctor Who fans
The Tardis Console Model comes complete with a magazine detailing this console’s place in history, its functionality and use in the adventures.
From daz.
Here are my images and guide.
I have taken a shot of all the current consoles together too as I know people are asking to compare them.
The acetate measurement is 74mm by 125mm. See image for further clarity…
Instructions.
Basically, you first push some of the acetate between the back tubes so it then stays in place from the right. Use the inner circle at the top of the column as your guide so the acetate remains inside it to very edge.
Then curve the acetate around the tubes from back to front (so left then round to the right), returning to the back where you can then stick it together with thin pieces of sellotape.
If you look closely there is a slight gap but the tube looks fine from a distance. It is trial and error so try and have patience. It’s definitely worth doing it.
The one monitor test is just a copy from the front cover of the included magazine. A temporary fix until I get more creative at a later date.
Hope this helps.

November 30th, 2020 - 4:01pmIs there a way to show a actual photo of my latest customised 12th doctor eaglemoss TARDIS console? I would like to share it because I think it’s rather nice and maybe some others would like or love to do it also that way…

June 29th, 2020 - 4:33pmChanging the subject completely. How about Maaga from Galaxy 4 becoming a figurine?

June 29th, 2020 - 1:06pmHas anyone else noted that the booklet has a picture of Matt Smith by the console!
daz
June 29th, 2020 - 5:12pmThat’s because it is from the original designs by Pickwoad. It even states it next to the image.
It was designed for Matt Smith long before he decided to quit Who. The console just got a LED change to orange for Capaldi.

June 28th, 2020 - 11:49amThanks Daz (and Booboo for putting this up). I’ll definitely be trying this out.
I’ve also been looking at model screens available – some Lego ones might work once I figure out a way to attach them.
I’ve already customised a few figurines that have worked quite well such as a ‘Revenge’ Cyberman carrying bombs and a Voc robot (I’ve done a Super Voc too but that’s now superfluous!) so hopefully the console will work too!
daz
June 28th, 2020 - 3:43pmThanks for sharing this BooBoo.
Let me know how you get on Doug with my instructions and the monitors.
Someone suggested Playmobil computer screens too on the hero collector facebook group so that could be an option.

July 3rd, 2020 - 12:56pmHi Daz,
First attempt with acetate failed because I thought I’d use thicker stuff but double sided tape isn’t strong enough to hold and it kept pinging off! So thinner acetate on its way…not got any monitors yet but there’s a few options to investigate.
Thanks for that link Ottoalexander…

June 21st, 2020 - 4:52pmJust got my 2 parcels I wasn’t expecting the 12th Doctors console to be so big

June 20th, 2020 - 8:31pmEnded up finding some clear plastic, cutting it to size and rolling it into a tube with a little tape. Looks pretty much perfect as the time rotor, would suggest others to try and do the same as it adds a lot to the model.

June 20th, 2020 - 12:22pmHi Booboo. Mines just arrived – I haven’t taken it out of its bag and box yet but it doesn’t look like it does come with a plastic column after all. It looks like the vertical rods are just bare. It’s a whopper of a model – looks very good.

June 20th, 2020 - 2:21pmYep, no plastic column – and looking on the Figurine Collection’s official Facebook page, that’s how they are all coming so EM must have changed their mind (and the spec!) at some point.
It still looks great – it’s a really large, heavyweight item and the paint job on mine is near flawless. Looking forward to when the Season 14 ‘writing desk’ console ships in July, although i suspect that will be much smaller!
Jordan9364
June 20th, 2020 - 3:45pmSo is there any way we could get such a plastic column? As much as I love the detail, I’m pretty sure it was listed as being included on the site. Not great to just decide to leave it out.
The Winter Doctor
June 20th, 2020 - 4:18pmI’m glad you’s have said that as mine arrived with no plastic casing, unless they meant the plastic packaging! But aside from that, it looks gorgeous!
daz
June 21st, 2020 - 12:41amYeah. No plastic Column but it is a lovely model. It is huge as well compared to the others (might be different scale) so although I got it for £19.99 it is worth the price increase at £24.99 if anyone is still on the fence.
Gonna have to construct my own plastic column somehow. And the monitors too.
I hope the Season 14 one is in scale with the 4th Doctor one otherwise it might look bigger next to it.
Roll on July and more consoles in future!
