August 30th, 2019 - 2:18pmJust wondering does anyone know if the DWFC has been suffering distribution problems or if less issues are being printed recently? I’m in Dublin and 3 of the last 5 issues namely 153 156 & 157 never arrived in , there are 3 places in the city centre that always have it since issue 1 and I’ve a standing order at forbidden planet but anyone I ask is doesn’t know what is up? I think at least 2 of the places that carry it deal with menzies. Thanks.

August 29th, 2019 - 8:56pmI’ve tried writing a reply to this three times already and I keep getting a bit stuck, simply because there are a 1001 different reasons why a character becomes part of the Doctor Who Figurine Collection. The long and short of it is that we are trying to represent the whole of Doctor Who. We think long and hard about who and what to cover, and we appreciate that some collectors might not like every figurine we produce.
We are set to produce 180 different figurines (plus special editions, bonus editions, mega editions, companion sets), but we are building one collection.
And stick with us: there are more surprises to come. That’s all I will – and can – say.

August 23rd, 2019 - 3:22pmToday 23/08/2019 I had issues 155 & 156 with a note saying from 158 subscription price is going up to £7.99 which I guess for me it will go up to £8.99 as I subscribe to include the Rare Daleks it also says they have had expand well after the initial 80 issues but doesn’t say if they are expanding further

August 24th, 2019 - 7:16amgut feeling is they are testing the water with a necessary price increase if they are going to continue beyond 180.
realistically no one could have expected these to stay at the same price after 5 years and 3x its original planned run.
If people don’t want to pay more, you probably won’t get anymore, that’s the way i see it. I’m quite happy to continue as long as they can with the increase.

August 21st, 2019 - 12:19pmThey should’ve done that Andragum 2nd Dr instead of the one from power of the Daleks and done the Meglos 4th Doctor we got for his second figurine and the Companion sets should’ve been box sets of all of each doctor’s companions because we’re going to have to many doctor figurines

August 6th, 2019 - 11:20pmFunnily enough it never really did in photos, probably because the studio lights still reflected off the costume. But Previews mag shows a photo of the actual figurine and that most definitely looks black.

August 6th, 2019 - 10:22amIs it true that the Cybermen in the sewers in this story are the same ones that were trapped in the sewers at the end of ‘The Invasion’, but just evolved?
And am I also to understand that the ones on Telos are the same ones that got sealed in the Tombs in ‘Tomb of the Cybermen’? Judging by how the cyber controller is meant to be the same one.

August 6th, 2019 - 12:01pmYes it’s implied that the ones in the sewers are there because of the events of “The Invasion” and still use the sewers as a base. They obviously can still travel to and from the base to Telos which is why they have the upgraded look. Maybe when a future faction meet a past version they upgrade them.
The ones on Telos are basically the same Cybermen in cold storage but also have the upgraded look and the controller is indeed the same one as he was “merely damaged” during the 2nd Doctors adventure and he’s even played by the same actor.
The changes have always bothered me a bit but they obviously wanted to keep a uniform look to the Cyberman and also keep the budget down without building other Cyberman costumes but it would have been cool to see the Cybermen on Telos still looking like the 2nd Doctor era ones. They even changed the look of the Tombs to a less behive look and more like cells on ground level.
I suppose the Cybermen could have come back to Telos later and upgraded the tombs and the frozen Cybermen which would explain why the rouge Cybermen have this new look too.

No reveal of any images, so haven,t seen those if that it was you are referring. I would like the extension and hopefully the cyberplanner.

August 2nd, 2019 - 10:48amNo decision has been made whether to carry on the collection past issue 180. When I say a figurine won’t appear before issue 180, this is to say that we’ve planned up to issue 180, including any extra figurines that might appear in the special issues, companion sets, etc.
