I found the second edition of this at the market a few years ago, the TV story doesn’t do it justice.

Actually, the novels are adapted from the TV stories, so I guess Robert Holmes wanted to improve the story he wrote originally. However, what makes this novel particularly interesting is that it is the only story that Holmes adapted into a novel himself – all of his other stories were adapted by other writers – so, I guess for some reason, he wanted to do justice to the story himself.
