regarding the comment about using a scissors yes that is the simple way but you are still damaging the outer packaging but from now on that will be the method used but the magazine is or have got a short life span the magazine is not the same as it used to be as long as it is on the shelves I will continue to buy it but its inevitable that it will go up again in price I think it is time to put this magazine to bed it has had a good run nothing is for ever

I do not wish to criticise any thing about doctor who but this has to be said the latest doctor who was 10.99 not 10.00 but over 10.00 so looking at what you have for this price will any body agree with me that the usual magazine and one comic strip supplement if that is the correct terminology seem to be not very much for that price also very annoying trying to open the package with out damaging the artwork I had trouble and damaged the outer artwork. the publishers need to be warned this magazine is not long for this magazine market if they continue to exploit fans in this way.

It’s easy to open, just use scissors to open the top.

They could have incorporated the comic into the issue itself. Either by straight forward printing it so extra pages. OR done as a pull out supplement: loosely stapled to centre of the mag so can remove.

I get why they do the paper bag to reduce plastic yet I’m the same, I like to keep it as preteen as possible to hate ripping it or cutting. Should stick to basic mag and reduce the cost. Then do a special around Christmas in a cardboard box like the 50th anniversary: at least then you could peel it open or remove the tape.

In the space of 20 years of collecting them it’s gone up by £7 currently, roughly 150%. With sales going the opposite direction. I sued to work at a well know newsagents before its name changed to toby Gordon jones. Used to get 15/20 copies a month and sell almost out. Just before our store closed it dropped to around 5 copies and only selling 2 or 3 (one being mine).

So many titles have ceased publication over the years and big titles. With less people buying print (mags as well as newspapers), I cant see being long before this either goes to bimonthly, quartley or gone all together.

James all magazines have seen similar increases in price. A magazine my partner buys has increased by 130% in seven years and it’s a weekly magazine. There is nothing untoward about the price of the magazine. Once again, costs have dramatically risen in terms of printing and distribution. The magazine is never going to be cheaper unless they stop using colour photos and/or reduce the page count. Two things people will complain about!

With they’d bring Davison back with Tegan for a mini series. Even though they are older they still look great and act no different

I think they both act better actually. There’s a lot more looseness and chemistry now. I’ve always been surprised at how much fun all of that gang seems behind the scenes, given how dull they all came across in the original episodes.

Actually Fred I agree with you on that point – they are better together now after all these years. bring it on!!!!!

I’d be up for that, even if it was just 4 or 5 episodes. I’d like Nyssa to be in on it as well, and this time let any writer really give the character something to get her teeth into. I’m convinced Sarah has good enough acting chops, something that she rarely appeared to be allowed to put across back in the day. Nyssa and 5 feel like natural buddies to me.

Duncan have you heard Nyssa and 5 on audio at BF? I was listening to an oldie the other day (The Mutant Phase – now 25 years old!) and was struck how great Nyssa and 5 are together. And agreed – Sarah Sutton is a good actress but never really got anything to push her when she was in the show.

Says in the back that the next issue has much more about the found episodes. That’s what I’m really interested in. Lovely cover though, one of the best.

You should see the subscriber cover too then – he’s next to Tegan on that, in the same pose.
