I should have mentioned it this when I wrote my first comment, but has anyone else noticed the similarity between the jacket worn by Sophie Aldred’s Ace and the leather jacket worn by Craig Charles Dave Lister from Red Dwarf ?. Both Ace and Dave added badges, patches etc to their jackets. If there was a Doctor Who /Red Dwarf cross over, they would probably be busy comparing jackets. Here’s a picture of Lister in his from Red Dwarf – Series V – http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/gallery/index.cfm?page=series-5&image=5-1

Which reminds me, 11th Doctor (Series 5) and Mr Bean’s jackets. Nuff said.

I’ve got issues from 352 to 444(since DWM started to be made with rigid cover), including all covers variants, all in near mint condition…how much would my collection be worth?

I still haven’t got issue from before this one. 🙁 my VISA needs replaced, it’s bent and doesn’t work on the cashier. ❗

So annoying, I’m too late to get the last issue now I will have to buy it on ebay or something, probably end up costing more. 😡

I wanted to go into eason’s, get the 11th Doctor companion volume 4, the latest DWM and some white paint to fix my 11th Doctor series 6 figures. (the blue shirt doctor is supposed to have WHITE buttons)

    Ughhhhhhhh ! ❗

I’m not angry or anything, despite all these things bothering me.

If only my stupid VISA wasn’t bent, I could have all this by now, I have no cash in hand ! 🙁

I would so love to see Sophie return as Ace to re-meet the Doctor again after all this time, since it would allow us to discover when and how Ace left the Doctor after 1989’s Survival when she just walked off with the Doctor and surprisingly wasint with him in the 1996 TV Movie. Cool cover thou, or as Ace would say – WICKED !!!!!!! 😀

Thinking about it, maybe Doctor Who needs a new Ace, perhaps if Ace had a daughter or something like that, and this relative is so much like Ace herself that she ends up travelling with the Doctor as Amy and Rory’s replacement. Now surely That is an ACE idea 😀

I like your idea in a way….for fans of Ace in her New Adventures role in the 90s books though we already know what happened to her 😉

It’s nice to see a lot more classic covers this year! Last year was completely dominated by new series covers and whilst that isn’t a problem I do think some covers could have been replaced with a different one especially that ‘Celebrate Christmas with the Doctor’ one!

Doctor Who goes to Spain! The rumours are true!!

I don’t know what other fans think too, but in terms of the ‘classic’ series I think, after Colin Baker, that Sophie Aldred is the biggest ambassador of the old series in terms of her boundless enthusiasm for it – despite some of the negative comments that she got (still, the same could be said for Colin too)

Fantastic cover, and good timing to go with the upcoming Ace box set – to finish the year can we have an Ace figure too? (please!) The 80s is MY Who era so looking forward to this months mag.

But still, it doesn’t count. If it was 508, he would have said it in SJA: Death of the Doctor. So it’s really 507.

Not quite, the Doctor said the limit of times he could regenerate was 507, nothing about incarnations so 508 is correct. Before it was 12 so there would be 13 Doctors, the same applies here.

      March 7th, 2012 - 9:32am

Rtd who wrote it said in an interview it was a throwaway line and wasnt to be taken seriously.

    • The 507th Doctor (Previously King of the Tenza)

      March 7th, 2012 - 5:53pm

Well I don’t really care to be honest. I think 507 is his last incarnation and you think whatever you want. And what do you mean, the first doctor didnt regenerate?! If he didn’t then he wouldn’t be in DWA two weeks ago in the regeneration section. And it perfectly said, “he regenerated”.

    • The 507th Doctor (Previously King of the Tenza)

      March 7th, 2012 - 5:55pm

I get what you mean. But I didn’t mean by how many times he regenerates. I mean by incarnation. He can regenerate 508 times, but he would die and not be called “The 508th Doctor”. Although he would have 507 incarnations. So I mean by incarnations.

Is it me or is Ace getting very popular now? Soon she’ll be on Doctor Who.

    Anyway, is DWM good? 🙂

      ok

    • Anonymous

      March 6th, 2012 - 1:24pm

508th will be the last Doctor (he didn’t regenerate into his first incarnation after all).

      March 6th, 2012 - 1:30pm

Its because of the Ace box set, she was also due to be in the Sarah Jane Adventures.

hopefully we will get a figure one day as well

    • The 507th Doctor (Previously King of the Tenza)

When was she due in SJA?

    • booboo

      March 6th, 2012 - 1:39pm

she had seen part of a script RTD had written, presumably in the second half of series 5 that was never filmed

you can hear it from Sophie Aldred herself here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCC5hmfljCg

Oooh, I bet The Doctor would have been there too. Is there anything else that was due in the second part of Series 5?

    • booboo

      March 6th, 2012 - 1:44pm

not that i know of and i dont think we will ever know to be honest.

Maybe it’s because Sophie is voicing some cartoon character in a new kids series alongside the 10th Doctor himself, David Tennant.
