Doctor Who Electronic Sound FX Daleks

Doctor Who Electronic Sound FX Daleks

Due August £13.49 – £14.99

The Daleks were created by the Kaled scientist, Davros as travel machines. He had deduced that the years of radiation and chemical poisoning from an ongoing war would lead his race to mutate into immobile organisms. The Dalek travel machines would house these creatures and allow the Kaleds to survive.

However, in the course of his experiments, Davros deliberately removed what he considered to be debilitating emotions from the mutants and a force of evil was spawned!

The Daleks were born without any ability to feel compassion or pity and were motivated only by hate, fear and an implacable belief that they were the superior creatures in the Universe. Recreate scenes from Doctor Who with these highly detailed 5″ poseable Dalek action figures.

Featuring the following six Daleks, modelled accurately on some of the famous Daleks from past episodes. Bronze Dalek (2005), Dalek Invasion of Earth (1964), Power of the Daleks (1966), Revelation of the Daleks (1985), Planet of the Daleks (1973) and Death to the Daleks (1974).

Each Dalek includes sound FX and speech by era! Collect them all!. Six to Collect. One supplied. Requires 3 x 1.5V Batteries included. For ages 5 years and over.

You have done well Booboo to get these 5! Argos seem’s to think that 15 items spread across 12 stores mean’s they have them in stock. When stores have 20 or more items I regard that as IN STOCK – Not 2 or 3 per store! This happened last year having to traipse around one to another – I didn’t bother this year & bought the set from FP. I am looking forward to seeing your final Bronze one in it’s packaging though.

      That way they are:

      .The cheapest (at £13.49)

.Easier to choose which one i want (variants out on display)

.Closer to where i live, since the Argos’ in my city is out of stock.

    • Tardis’nt

Well I went there and it was just a revelation which is my only one that i have already, what are the chances? And when i got home i looked on the site again and it said that they have two! why did they only say one? 👿 anyway i have reserved the three that my town centre have – i went there on saturday and all they had were two death ones so i wouldn’t be surprised at all if it is them and something else. hopefully a 60’s one 😉 but i doubt it.

    • BOOBOO JR

      July 24th, 2012 - 10:10pm

That seems to be only in that picture. I have the figure and mine has a tag, but I’m not sure why that one doesn’t?

    • Doctorpond393

      July 24th, 2012 - 10:14pm

Perhaps it’s just cos it’s a prototype are any others different to these images then slightly?

    • BOOBOO JR

      July 24th, 2012 - 10:17pm

The only thing that people seem to be noticing is that the slats below the head aren’t in line properly on some of the figures.

    • Wouldyoulikeajellybaby?

      July 24th, 2012 - 10:19pm

The Slats on my Supreme Renegade Dalek Figure’s neck from Remembrance Of The Daleks aren’t in line.

    • BOOBOO JR

      July 24th, 2012 - 10:21pm

It seems to be a common problem with a lot of the Dalek figures.

    • Doctorpond393

You can fix it yourself but technically these Daleks have not been assembled correctly so you have every right to return it and ask for a replacement or refund

    • Tardis’nt

      July 25th, 2012 - 9:23am

Booboo, how do you fix the issue with misaligned neck slats?

    • booboo

      July 25th, 2012 - 1:49pm

you have to take it apart, i haven’t done it myself so not sure, wouldn’t take long though

    • James

      July 25th, 2012 - 2:16pm

Just fixed my Dalek invasion of earth Dalek. Was very easy to do. Just remove the four screws on the base. Then the one screw inside that holds the dome in place. After that you can take apart the neck section, and put it back together correctly. Took less than 5 mins.

    • Mels

      July 26th, 2012 - 2:42pm

Thanks for the tip. 😀 Makes me question whether I should buy these online though… might be worth waiting for them to come in store so I can buy ones without the ‘issue’.

Provided I can find some in store…

I was in Cambridge myself today, so I just thought I’d let you know that FP didn’t have the SFX Daleks, or any of the new CB Sets. Unless they get a delivery at some point tomorrow, they still won’t have anything when you go. However they did have some of the figures you mentioned. I didn’t get a chance to get to Argos, so I don’t know what they currently have in stock. But out of your list, I would definitely recommend the SFX Daleks!

Over four days and 5 total visits across three stores I have managed to get 4 different ones.

I get to see all the reserved ones too so here are some rough statistics as I have seen 8 Daleks.

    1. Bronze – 3 times
    2. Power – 2 times
    3. Planet – 2 times
    4. Invasion – once
5- Death and Revelation – not seen

I reckon to have seen the Bronze dalek twice in one store which suggests lesser popularity. Certainly on the three occasions I was faced with a choice, I left the Bronze for the “reservations” and finally got one tonight-no choices.

Displayed on shelf. 😀 I do occasionally take some of them down and fiddle with poses/accessories etc, but I am too old to ‘play’ with them too. They just get admired a lot. 🙂

    • Esterath

      July 24th, 2012 - 11:47am

See, that’s the thing about comics and books. They don’t get admired- you use them, you read them, you make detailed anaylses of them!

    • McGann is The Doctor.

      July 24th, 2012 - 1:55pm

I’m always changing the poses, or customising, or swapping parts of them, or changing the accesories (for instance, the Jacketless Doctor can hold the loose jacket from the Pandorica wave, OR the communicator device from the episode). And the Dalek mutant I put round the red-jacket Doctor from Genesis of the Daleks, had to give him a non-smiling face for that ! 🙂

But when my cousin is round, we get about 80% of the figures out and play a story. ❗

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      July 24th, 2012 - 6:53pm

I do get figures sometimes, but there’s hardly any room on shelves etc because of my CB stuff (There’s more space for them and they’re easier to recreate scenes with) DVD’s, books, comics, CD’s (Audio and Soundtracks) and board games (ok there’s just one). 🙂

Oh and the boxes from Classic DVD’s. And my DWE bag with all the merchandise I got there. And – oh, you get the point. 😉

    • Dalek Sec

      July 26th, 2012 - 5:29am

Place them on shelves, put em back into boxes when i get bored of them, take pictures. and of course play with them looking like an average Family Guy character doing childish things lol. CB figures on the other hand are great to put on the deck, give as presents, or building a mini army of Daleks.

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      July 26th, 2012 - 5:37am

My little cousin has no classic Daleks, just the rubbish “Red colourful one” and some rubbish old 2005 Dalek figures I gave him, because they are too chunky and obsolete to me because I have the new version.

So I have decided for christmas, I’ll get him the big commander one from the 60s, and one from Death to the Daleks.

He loves Daleks so, I imagine he will rather enjoy these gifts. Plus, the two Daleks I’m getting him are ones that I personally will not be adding to my collection.

I’m only getting the Necros, Bronze and grey Daleks 🙂
