Cold War; 1983 – In the cold waters of the Southern Arctic Ocean a Russian nuclear submarine is returning from patrol. As the ‘Cold War’ between the Americans and Russians drags on, tensions run high as the crew constantly run missile launch simulation drills.

Also on board is a high ranking Russian scientist with a rapidly thawing block of ice – a block of ice which contains a mysterious creature.

When the creature revives, breaks loose and rampages through the ship, the Submarine loses all power and starts to sink, plunging deeper with every passing second.

The TARDIS materialises on board and, with mere seconds to spare, the Doctor saves the submarine but leaves it stranded and crippled 700 metres down. But that is the least of his worries when the Doctor realises they are up against one of his oldest and coldest enemies.

oh woops. i remember. it dosent. i will change the question. where can i find an armoured ice warrior. and a doctor figure. all 3.75 inch. just out of curiosity is 3.75 inch the same size as the pirates of the carribein figures. i could make a stop motion animation where the doc goes to pirate times and doscovers that davy jones is working with an ice warrior?

And the award for most innacurate figure goes to chacter options with their ice warrior ‘creature’, beating long -time winners dapol, and their elongated pertwee, green k9 and two arms davros. Honourable mention – the five sided tardis console!

This is good of them but I will not get it because I think it was more interesting to see just the face and hands of the true creature.

Also, I find it implausible that the original creature is humanoid, given what it does in the episode.

Wow. This has to be a first from this company. A model of a creature that looks nothing like it did on telly. Certainly not in the episode that I saw when the Ice Warrior revealed itself

These are pretty cool….especially if you’re into toy photography. I would love to see the concept art of the Ice Warrior creature…shame we didn’t actually get to see the full thing in the episode.

Am I right in thinking that the dioramas pictured a the London Toy fair were for the 5 inch range….do you know if they changed their mind or if there will be two different lines?
