Enjoyed this story a lot. Brilliant moments of humour, especially from David Bradley as the First Doctor. Best Christmas Special in quite some time. It will be great to complete the Capaldi era on DVD, when ‘Twice Upon a Time’ is released.

This episode was a let down. Moffat had a nice idea but he didn’t present it well. Also Clara came back. Disappointed.

The mention of the Valeyard got me thinking… The Master said the Valeyard is what happened during the Doctor’s 12th and 13th regeneration. So does that mean Jodie Whittaker’s doctor is the Valeyard or will she regenerate into him when she hits the floor at the beginning of the next series.

I think the Valeyard has been ditched besides a reference. Only speculation

The actual thing he said is that the Valeyard is an amalgamation of the darker side of the doctor somewhere between his 12th and final incarnation not 13th

Will this go down in price anytime soon? I want to get it but not if it’s gonna go down, have the previous specials gone down?

probably in a few months if it doesn’t sell out, but then if we all wait for things to go down in priced nothing would get released anyway.

Series 10 has already gone down to £30 on Blu-ray.

I understand what you mean booboo, but personally I never buy these releases immediately. The only thing I really get straight away if I want them are Steelbooks as they can sell out, these normal editions will be cheaper to buy eventually.

Regeneration stories only get released separately for some strange reason

The End Of Time was released in the Winter Specials 2009 Boxset, aswell as The Time Of The Doctor being released on some special boxsets like the 50th Anniversary Limited Edtion Boxset, The Complete Matt Smith Years etc. So, if we do get a Complete Peter Capaldi Years, it will be on there, but I do doubt it will be on the Series 11 Boxset, but you never know, BBC might need to include another selling point – having Twice Upon A Time on the Series 11 Boxset if they feel that it won’t sell well and Jodie wasn’t popular etc. but we’ll have to wait and see…

The Complete Peter Capaldi Years boxset is available in February in Region 1 according to Amazon. I last hope is that they’ll re-release it as part of one of the new steel book blu-rays they’re releasing.

Yeah, I think others have it right. It won’t be on The Complete Series 11, but it *will* be on The Complete Peter Capaldi and it will almost certainly be on a Series 10 Steelbook if and when that gets released in a couple of years.

I suspect twice upon a time will be on the series 11 steelbook (series 10 seems to have just sold out)

no news on the complete Capaldi years in the UK, other USA retailer also briefly listed complete season 1 Tom Baker years on blu-ray as well

I hate to agree with booboo but I think they might be right, previous boxsets were dedicated to honouring each series as it were, with Series 10 they kind of ‘rammed out’ the DVD set just for profit, when did something like Doctor Who have reviews on the front cover? The vanilla release took better care of presentation and that’s saying something.
