The earth of 2150 A.D. is a desolate and hostile ruin of a planet, crumbling at the edge of civilisation, slowly disappearing into the darkness of space. For the future of planet earth now belongs to The Daleks, a destructive army of alien invaders who have turned humans into cowering slaves. Meanwhile deep within the London Underground a group of resistance freedom fighters are planning an attack. But there’s only one man who could possibly help them succeed in destroying their extraterrestrial enemies and take back control of planet earth. A man of mystery, a man of time and space, a man known only as… The Dr.

I was on the cusp of buying this until I discovered the LP is the exact same as sides C&D of the original issue. But if folk want it, It’s only £47 on Amazon now

The steelbooks are £20 and other box sets £30 at the mo, too.

Although these studio canal sets are very nice I find it unfair that the low priced standard 4k blurays of these releases were not an option in the UK, only in other parts of Europe. The films were produced here for goodness sake but we get the worst end of the deal. Makes no sense.

Canal do this a lot, premium set first then standard a few months later. The premium sets wouldn’t have much luck in Europe, so they just skipped them. You’ll have the standard editions in your collection by this time next year, if you’ve not picked up the Euro releases for a song (Amazon Germany have regular Canal sales, and I would almost guarantee that these will be pretty cheap by Spring).

I’ve added this to my wish list, but I’ll only be forking out for it when it’s about £30 – Same for the other vinyl…

I doubt it will drop that low considering it comes with the 4k movie. About 45 is more realistic

Sorry, but I won’t purchase it for any more. It’s a bit of a cheek listing this, when people have already spent out on the recent two new Boxsets. I’m not interested in the films in this purchase, I just want the Vinyls – I’ll pay that for the Records but not double-dipping unless they are cheap. I can wait for a couple of years if needed…

This does seem a bit of a massive double dip on the part of the label. How different will this be to the yellow LPs from a few years back? The 2150 tracks were from the film soundtrack sounds effects and all. £70 is a big ask as well in this day and age.

Its good to have another Soundtrack on an old style LP, although a little disappointed it’s not on Colour Vinyl.

These will more than likely go down in price. As most collectors won’t want to double dip.

I don’t have any of the 4K releases as they are on my wish list. ( I guess I’ll find out in a couple of days if anyone has bought me them.)

I’ve already double dipped, on the Sttelbook and Collector’s releases, which I know of a few people online who did the same. Triple dipping isn’t exactly affordable though.

They probably will once everyone has bought these! There’s a little bit too much of this cashing in on dedicated fans and collectors nowadays. I know you don’t HAVE to buy it, but a lot of us, myself included, feel compelled to purchase as we’ve collected for years and then feel a lifetime’s collecting is incomplete if we don’t!

Again, could they not have released the Soundtrack on it’s own?

Couldn’t they have just released the Soundtrack as a separate product?
