I bought one on Saturday and actually like it. The plushes are caricatures and so are these. The sound and light is more dramatic than the plushes.

This is the fourth series of mainstream official merchandise to caricature Doctor Who. I disliked them in theory but like them in the flesh. If you want a proper Dalek in proper proportions, there have been so many companies over the years release proper Daleks. Probably between 50-100.

What can they do to be different. Look no further…

Cna’t they carry on the other series? Do 10th doctor or classic stuff?

    I’d like to see:
    10th Doctor (I think they’re making one)
    Gold Dalek
    Slitheen
TARDIS (Re-release, without st john sticker)
    Classic Dalek

All in the older range, in differnet scales.

These look a lot like their toy fair mock ups. Maybe these are prototype images? We will have to wait and see….

This is just cheap… they clearly haven’t put much effort into these at all; just photoshopped pics of Daleks and Cybermen and printed them onto fabric! The others aren’t that great I know, but these are just taking the mick…

I agree but disagree with the others(if you are talking about the older plushes). I have a small cyberman and a red paradigm dalek (medium sized? it’s around 27-30cm) and I quite like them (haven’t even considered buying any plushes but I saw a buncha daleks 2 years ago and just had to buy one). Those are proper plush toys, nut just cushions.

I would have, personally, sold these under the ‘cushion’ or ‘pillow’ name instead of plush toys. Hardly plush toys, really – would be good cushions though…

I really hope that’s not the actual product… it’s just an image printed on a cushion! They clearly haven’t gone to anywhere near as much effort with these as with all previous plush toys

The Cyberman looks as if it’s been squashed down, it doesn’t look that appealing. But at least the Dalek looks a little better then the Paradigm Daleks. And that’s not really saying much, seeing how those Dalek plushies just looked awful. I know that these are supposed to be just cute toys for children and I’m only going to say this for a little joke, but aren’t the Cybermen and Daleks supposed to be deadly? Imagine a child watched an episode where the Daleks kill everyone. Sleep well kids. Whatever next, a Jeff the Killer plushy?

The Dalek looks like a pillow with with a picture printed on it.
I know that the previous dalek plushes are based on the generally hated “power rangers dalek” design, but judged by only this picture, those are far superior to this.
