In the midst of the Time War, the Time Lords have received a communication from Falkus, the prison moon of Skaro. Its sole inmate, Davros, wishes to make them an offer.

June 9th, 2023 - 3:45pmMy L.E came today, have to admit i am disappointed and even raised this to B.F. not individually numbered and no lenticular diamond effect. both promised at launch (and the number part is still on the news article 22.11.23).
not normally a complainer but in this case, i think BF have short changed us. dont mind delays but dont promise something knowing people will buy for the L.E numbering and not do it.

June 13th, 2023 - 3:04pmWell not just the fact that there has been a production error so we’ve not had what was promised but the actual product just does not seem ‘special’? It’d of been nice instead of a bog standard jewel case CD we’d got a digipack wallet which could of contained the booklet/poster and a little postcard of the standard edition cover which is far superior? 10 years ago they released Light at The End which had beautiful packaging but so far this release apart from the long delay just seems very ordinary?

There has been a production/pressing issue that has resulted in a delay, they have stated that we will likely get the 2nd part CD before the 1st.
I know people (including myself) like the physical but there has been a general negative attitude towards it we a lot of “i want it now” when the reality is, sometimes things just get delayed – thankfully we have the app and digital to ensure up to date.

June 2nd, 2023 - 3:36pmunlikely, this has been in development since early 2019 and recorded over the last 4 years so the scripts/story would have been in long before RTDs return in 2022.The idea comes from BF’s CEO who was tired of the same “multi doctor” stories so proposed this one.
Whilst it has been increased from 6 parts to 8 thanks covid making tennant and Eccleston available, it wont impact the 60th narrative.
And before anyone chimes in – yes the BBC did request BF delay part 8 until 2024 due to elements that are similar to something in the 60th BUT its a coda and the narrative is expected to be concluded by the end of part 7 – this is leading to rumours of part 8 involving the 14th Doctor instead of 10s but again – there is no evidence to confirm this.
Also to be “that guy”, the 14th doctor is not a degeneration, this is a deliberate act (maybe the doctors, maybe the toymakers). David Tennant is playing two separate incarnations.
Once and Future is not the doctor regenerating into old faces so its a different matter – not to spoil but we already know one of the doctors is eccleston so this “degeneration” has a little more to it then we know – thats why the title is once AND future

June 2nd, 2023 - 3:24pmBF don’t release on a Saturday and they have not given the date for this one yet.
They have stated that the War master is next week.
They traditionally release “big” releases on a Tuesday-Thursday.
June is a stacked month, at least 6 doctor who related releases, the 4th doctor box is theis months preview sample so that suggests later in the month so would put once and future somewhere in the middle.
I think with the issues and general negativity people unfairly have put at them for the early digital/no cd yet, i dont think the will rush it out. Coupled with the sudden change of the CD cover, this may have also pushed the release back to mid/late month

Hopefully it’ll be sooner rather than later. It is unfortunate that the CDs have had delays but I’m happy so long as I get all I’ve paid for in due course. Big Finish still has the warning that they have a lot of delays in sending out CDs for a reason

June 6th, 2023 - 9:42amI don’t know if all the sets have had issues with the CD covers, I believe they’ve made/planned out the Special Edition covers but I’m not certain about the regular covers.
In terms of The Artist at the End of Time, the cover has been redone as a lot of fans weren’t happy with it, specifically the use of AI art in an obvious manner was heavily criticised

The 10th Doctor quite clearly stated that Davros died in the very first year of the Time War, at which point the Doctor would’ve still been in his 8th incarnation. Yet this story features the War Doctor ‘degenerating’ into the 7th Doctor. So with at the timing this is set in, it has be after first year of the war. I wonder how they’ll get around this.

Officially the war lasted 400 “gallifrey” years but also across all and none of time a space so “the first year” could have spread across centuries. With time being rewritten constantly, time folding on itself, there’s plenty of room for stories
We know that the 8th doctor is the one degenerating so is early days.

June 1st, 2023 - 10:21pmGoing by the synopsis, it’s set after Palindrome/Restoration of the Daleks from Time War 4 and that Davros is… (without spoiling) different so that’s likely how they’re getting around that. But also the trailer for Past Lives suggests that it’s Eight who is degenerating, not War.
