Big Chief 1:6 Scale 3rd Doctor Commemorative Edition
Available to order from www.bigchiefstudios.co.uk
The Third Doctor figure stands tall with a breathtaking likeness of the incomparable Jon Pertwee, who so memorably portrayed the Time Lord from 1970 to 1974.
Outfitted in his dark blue velvet jacket with embroidered piping, frilled shirt, western tie and of course that cape. Ready for action the Third Doctor comes with his trusty Sonic Screwdriver, plus a host of other accessories including: magnifying glass; Sea Devil gun; Guerrilla gun; remote control for Bessie; Metebelis Crystal and TARDIS Key. A variety of posed hands as well as gloved hands comes as standard, as does his light-up display base with Gallifreyan symbol for the number three.
Available to pre-order in an exclusive Commemorative Edition of only 500 pieces, the Third Doctor also includes a special photo print signed by actor Katy Manning, who portrayed the Doctor’s companion Jo Grant. Not available via general retail, the Commemorative Edition packaging is embellished with gold foil detailing.
A standard Limited Edition will be available through their retail partners.

October 5th, 2021 - 12:02pmFinally received this yesterday – very good.
And although the 13th Doctor figure is also very good, there is no stand for the signature plaque as in previous releases. Having contacted them, they say this was not included in the pre-order page – which appears to be true – BUT it was most certainly listed as being included on the “Pre-Launch” page when I ordered back in March 2019!

October 26th, 2021 - 2:15amMine arrived yesterday (Australia) was missing a maggot, had spaces for two but only one. Other than that I think it is a great likeness. Posted same time at 13 which arrived Saturday, (thank you Aust Post) she would have to be the best I have 9. Her foot fell off but easy fix, not like 11, couldn’t get his foot on & didn’t want to send back to UK so leave him in the box

August 12th, 2019 - 2:30pmOnly 10 left of these! That must be the quickest figure big Chief have done to sell out. I expect these all to go by the end of today

August 1st, 2019 - 8:33amSo do they take payment immediately or do they wait until the figures ready to send out?

July 26th, 2019 - 6:33pmNow that’s more like it!!! Wow – First true likeness they’ve achieved i.m.h.o.
Costly but truly stunning work.
Personally I don’t see why people lay so much stock by real cloth costumes, wish they would just solid mould them; fabric always marks, gathers dust and perishes much faster (as witnessed by anyone familiar with the 70’s Denys Fisher releases).
Bicky
July 27th, 2019 - 10:53amThat’s a good point. That’s what’s good about the Robert Harrop figurines- they are solid and don’t have fabric clothes etc which sometimes look untidy and oversized.
Chris Howarth
July 30th, 2019 - 7:52amIf they solid-moulded them they’d be an entirely different kind of merchandise. I think the reason I like the Big Chief releases is they’re basically high quality Action Men (and women); they evoke a sense of nostalgia for the kind of toys I had or wish I’d had as a child.
I can only imagine how excited the eight year old me would have been if a Third Doctor doll had been sold in toyshops back then.

July 26th, 2019 - 6:20pmJust ordered mine, can’t wait. I very rarely spend this much on one item, but couldn’t help it. LoL.

July 26th, 2019 - 6:27pmExactly the same as me lol.

July 26th, 2019 - 6:12pmJust pre ordered mine 🙂
Paid in full and getting giant maggot version 2 apparently? Any ideas what this might be? Maybe his costume or a maggot itself?
Cyberman Bill
July 27th, 2019 - 9:07amThey have a picture of the maggots you get after all he photos of the 3rd doctor figure
Anonymous
July 30th, 2019 - 2:36pmThere’s also a couple of pictures of Daleks menacing the Doc as well. They’ve either borrowed them from elsewhere or maybe they’re prototypes of the planned release later in the collection. Looks like a couple of colour variations.
Thetruth
July 26th, 2019 - 5:51pmWell Over £200 and they don’t include shipping the price by the looks…. Shame
Anonymous
July 26th, 2019 - 6:35pmThe shipping is a bit naughty. I wonder how many people will be caught out by that? And I wonder what the shipping costs are? From what I can see they don’t tell you how much shipping is until 7 days before it’s due.
Rikki Krystal
July 26th, 2019 - 6:42pmShipping to uk is around £10.00
Col
July 26th, 2019 - 8:13pmIt’s never high and they give rewards now in spendable value ….I am wondering if that can be reclaimed on shipping

July 26th, 2019 - 8:48pmBig Chief use FedEx next day delivery for inland U.K. and it is free

July 26th, 2019 - 5:35pmThis is by far the best looking BGS figure. The only one to actually look like the actor. And being my favourite doctor, this is perfect for my first 1/6th scale figure!
The Silent Silent
July 26th, 2019 - 5:04pmMight pre order this one. The last Big Chief Figure I ordered was the PJ Christmas Invasion 10th Doctor Figure which was a while ago now.

July 26th, 2019 - 12:57pmReally cool! Shame they are so expensive. I can’t pay that for a figure. Nice anyway
john
July 26th, 2019 - 12:25pmomg this is awesome take my money
Daz
July 26th, 2019 - 11:52amShame these are so expensive seeing how many Doctors there now are, it would be cool to have them all lined up with monsters and compainons…not gonna happen sadly.
Darren
July 26th, 2019 - 4:12pmYou know they are planning to do a dalek and a cyberman in the next few years
Anonymous
July 26th, 2019 - 4:13pmI think he means he can’t afford to buy them in order to line them up
Anonymous
July 26th, 2019 - 11:17amSame here, can’t afford it, can’t warrant spending big chief prices either. But it looks great. And those who can afford it are in for a treat
Anonymous
